J.B.
My name is J. Bernadette and I've always liked the way it flows... ;) I also think Hannah is a pretty middle name, and Bridgett, Anna, Fiona, Margaret. It totally depends on the first name, in my opinion.
Hi! I am trying to come up with a good middle name for a one-syllable first name (for a girl). It seems like whenever I add a middle name, it sounds backwards like the first name should be the middle and vice versa. Any suggestions?

Perhaps combine two one syllable names that have meaning and use that. My daughter has a two syllable first name and her middle name is Leanne. My husband's middle name is Lee and my mother's middle name is Ann. It is a meaningful way to use a name I otherwise would not have considered. Other wise with out knowing what the first name you have chosen is, it's hard to suggest a middle name. :)
We named our daughter Julia Linda. I thought it was too many A's, but her first name was the only one we could agree on and it's my grandmother's name and her middle name is my mother's name. My mom passed away when I was a kid so both names were important to me. We just did it because that's what we wanted. Now I love it!
It's hard to say without knowing your intended first name, but Marie works well. I love the name Ava and wanted to name our daughter Ava Marie, but my hubby had other plans. At first I didn't want to use it because it's my middle name and I always thought it sounded old-fashioned, but I must admit that it grew on me and I think my daughter's name, Jenna Marie, flows well.
my husband's grandma's name is Savina - I always thought this was very pretty for a middle name. she's 100% italian and lives in italy - she has so much spark!
What about your maiden name? My middle name is my mom's maiden name and I love it. My daughter's middle name is my first name and my son's middle name is my husband's first name.
Otherwise, it is hard to give suggestions not knowing what that first name is.
I think Elizabeth goes with everything but I'm biased as my daughter's middle name is Elizabeth.

Would you be willing to put the first name as the middle name and just call her by her middle name? My daughter is Amina Rose. We call her Amina (my husband's grandmother's name) but we could have called her Rose just as easily (my grandmother's name). One of my son's is George Asa. I like the 2 syllables after the one. What is the first name?
good luck and congratulations.
My daughter's name is a one syllable name followed by a 3 syllable name. It's Paige Karina. The middle name was a variation on my name (K.).
Good luck,

What a lot of people I know do, is use a name that is a new twist on a maiden name, or a mix of a grandmother's name or father's name or whatever.

Well my name is P. Lane, I named my daughter Kamrin Elizabeth. The best advice I was given when picking out my daughter's name was yell it and if it sound's good when you yell it then that's the one. :)
THe first name that popped into my head was Paige Karina, and the other poster said she named her daughter that. Great minds!!!
