Most Comfortable Bra Ever?

I am looking for a really, really comfortable bra. I would prefer no underwire and nothing really tight right under my breasts. I wear an A cup, so I don't really care about support. I will try something on in the store and think that it is OK, then get it home, and after wearing it for an hour, hate it. I really, really love one of my nursing bras from Bravado (Body Silk, I think) with soft foam cups and a thick band around my ribs that is stretching but not tight (seriously so comfortable) and I think that it has ruined me as to normal bras now. I am weaning and eventually, I would like to switch back to a non-nursing bra. I don't need all of the coverage that this nursing bra provides, and I would like to save it for nursing with my next child. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for all of the suggestions so far. I'm looking at a couple bras online (as long as the little one naps) and reading reviews. I have been checking out a Wacoal one, but I would like some molded cups to ensure that nothing shows through shirts. I have found a store/website offering bras and other things for petite women...Lula Lu. I might check a few of their things out.

Body by Victoria... I love it! They are expensive but soooooooooooo comfortable I can sleep in mine (and I do not ever sleep in any other bras) so my husband always knows when I am wearing it. I would wear this bra constantly but I only get one a year so I can't.
Hope this helps :)

I agree with the response to go some place and get fitted by a bra specialist. I "thought" I was an A cup, sometimes B depending on the bra. I went to Dillards and they were having their "bra bonanza" or something of the sort and were measuring people. So I had mine done, and "HOLY COW" I would swear on a bible I was an "A", well apparently I am a "D". I almost fainted. I never could find comfortable bras and I guess it was because I wasn't wearing the correct size. I did get some new ones but all had underwire and you stated you really didn't want those.

Hanes sells some really comfy sports bras. They are not restricting, yet they have enough hold for support. They come in a set of 3. Also I like the 18 Hour Bras. Again, not too restricting but enough support throughout the day. I am, however, a C.

I love the Warner's tee shirt bra. (# 02055 is what is says on the inside).

I am almost an A and the straps and the bottom band is very, very comfortable. Better yet, it looks smooth and no buckle or lace bumps when I wear tee shirts or light summer sweaters.

I find mine at Stein Mart and try to buy 2-3 at a time when they are in stock. I am sure you can find them in many other places or online.

Have you considered wearing a sports bra? I wore them for awhile during the summer time. If I needed to go somewhere all I had to do was throw on a top and go.

As I was reading your question, I was actually going to suggest that Bravado bra! :) I haven't been happy going back to my normal bras either, so if you get any good suggestions, let me know for my next weaning.

Go get professionally fitted at a high end place like Neimans or Nordstrom (my favorites). Dillards usually has good fitting specialists as well.

Remember You get what you pay for!!!

My favorite is Wacoal. I got them at Neimans but they are sold at Macy's, Dillards and other department stores.

I do not like any padding, I like sheer cups, no lines and underwire but Wacoal has a wide variety of styles. I am very petite 5'5", 116# size 2 and I have natural 34DD's. I like a functional bra. Fortunately through my genetics, my female relatives are naturally large breasted, very dense, firm and perky... I intend to keep it that way :)

Victoria's Secret is not bad. My 15 yr old daughter does like a little padding and she loves the Victoria's Secret bras. She is a 32B.

Good luck!

I'm also an A cup. I have always gone back to Target and bought the Gilligan & Omalley bras. I do buy the underwire ones though. At least they're only $12. You can find them on the clearance rack often. Got some for $6 each just a month ago.

I am big busted, so this may or may not help, but the most comfortable bras I have ever found are VS Cotton at Victoria's Secret. They are comfortable, affordable (2 for $40), and the lightly lined molded cups my my girls look great! I am not sure if they are available without under wire, I have never looked since I need the support. But after started to wear bras by VS, I can not stand to wear anything else, and they are way more affordable than Wacoal.

hi, I was the same way, and since I had my son my breast changed and my older bras felt awful. So I went to Victoria Secrets, I told them exactly what I wanted, they measured me and gave me different bras to try. I felt in love with one of them and that's the only kind I use.
Just a suggestion....

Victorias Secret bras are the most comfortable that I've found. They are a little pricey but they are good quality. (it also helps to let them hang dry and not put in the dryer) When they measure you there they have a whole drawer of that size with different styles you can go try on. Good luck!

Victoria's Secret Body by Victoria wireless bra is super comfortable. I'm also an A cup so I don't need a ton of support just something their basically. Another thing I would suggest is when you go into the store have them measure you and make sure your wearing the right size. The wrong size bra make's a huge difference on how comfortable it is. Although when I'm at home or just hanging out I live in a sports bra but for a regular bra this is my favorite! Good luck!
