We are having a movie day at our house. The weather here stinks and my kids are being really good about the fact I am not up for a rain walk today. I need movie recommendations..WE have watched Return to Oz and A goofy movie. After a quick bathroom break and a snack...we may dive into something else....but what???

Ideas?? I down load just about everything so it wont take long if something seems good.

My kids are 6, 4 and 3. So nothing to scary or out there:)

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

And the winner is for now...MARY POPPINS...keep them coming though. There are a few posted I havent thought about watching in a while...its good to see different ones!! for next time!!

It is miserable. It is not as bad and waiting for what the east coast and mid west have seen storm wise. But is not nice to look at for days and days!!

The Tangerine Bear, is about a teddy bear that accidental was put its smile up side down, and so no body wants to buy him. Is a sweet emotive movie about "home is where you heart is" kind of message.
Also " Despicable me" !! same mensage but more funny, lol.

How to Train Your Dragon was great. My oldest is 4 and both of my older boys love it. They also love Cinderella, Sesame Street and Muppet movies, The Bear, Milo and Otis, The Aristocats, really almost any Disney movie they've seen.

UPDATE:

What about old tv shows? We watch things like Gilligan's Island and Green Acres and our boys love those, too. Fun, wholesome, and entertaining for all of us. :)

Veggies Tales has a few feature length films that are great - Jonah and the Big Whale, The Wizard of Ha's (a take off of The Wizard of Oz), and Lord of the Beans (a take off of Lord of the Beans).

Hope you guys had fun!

Stuart Little is super cute. So is Milo and Otis.
A Little Princess, starring Liesel Matthews is a beautiful movie. It has some sad parts, but a happy ending. It didn't scare either of my young children.
Jungle Book.
The Sandlot is a really good movie too.
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is awesome. There's a scary guy in it but not for long.
Hans Christian Anderson with Danny Kaye.

Have fun! My kids and I used to do this all the time when the weather was bad. My 15 year old son and I still do. He's a little older so our choices are different.

This is way late, but for next time, try Ponyo. It's such a great movie and not scary. No good guys or bad guys, just conflict. My four-year-old son looooves it!

Any Disney cartoon flicks, Shrek, Nannie Macphee (spelling?). Both my 4 and 7 YO are into the Pink Panther cartoons downloaded from Netflix. They're super short, too, so they can watch a couple here and a couple there w/o sitting down for hours. Both kids really got into the Herbie movies, even the really old ones. We watched them all.
