We are transfers ourselves and picked Loveland. We have a son that has learning differences and found Loveland schools are excellent. It is much smaller the mason and Lakota schools and we've found that to be a plus. Housing is affordable and there are a lot of ammenities in the community. We love it here, too bad we're moving again :-(

Kings Local Schools! They are big enough to have plenty of extracurricular and club opportunities, but small enough that your kids can get individual attention. We just passed a levy on the first try; the community really supports the schools.

I love my school district and we have loads of help with children who are special needs. It's not in that immediate area. We are south of 75 St. Bernard Elmwood Place area. Close to the zoo. So it would be a drive especially in the rush hour traffic. I do know Lakota schools are suppose to be good too that's the West Chester district.

Your profile says you are in Mason, OH, which is already near West Chester, assuming you mean West Chester, OH. Have you already moved?

I live in Mason and love the schools here. We have lived here for three years now. As you may know, West Chester (Lakota Schools) are having a hard time passing their school levies and are losing A LOT of their special and extracurricular activities, so you may want to look into that very closely if you are considering West Chester as a home. Same goes for a variety of school districts in the area. Sycamore schools have a good reputation, as do Kings School District, Indian Hill, Wyoming, Madeira. Terrace Park/Mariemont is also well respected, but that may be getting too far from West Chester, depending on what type of commute your husband wants to have.

Mason school are really good and the Mason area has tons of shopping and restaurants. It is a very busy area though and the schools are big. I think they have 32 first grade classrooms! Other school districts that are rated excellent are Kings Local, Sycamore, Indian Hill, Maderia, Mariemont, Loveland and Milford. If you don't want to live in a very busy area like Mason then you should check out Loveland which is very nice but not as busy.

A little more info would be great, like a state... just googling General Mills plants and West Chester comes up with many different places.

Try school digger.com- I don't know if it will help with your specific needs, but we used it when we relocated.
