My husbands new territory will be south of Columbus, Ohio....To Inianappolis, IA and the Northern most tip of Kentucky. We have decided to try and stay around the Columbus or Cinncinati area because thats where most of our family is closest to. (parents etc)

My husband researched Sprongboro, Waynesville, and Mason Oh and all 3 seem pretty good. Any other suggestions?? Again school systems, reasonable taxes and housing prices.

Renting 1st for 6 months or a year, is really not an option for us. This will be our FOURTH move since April 2010!!!! Because of short sale, job loss etc......

What can I do next?

My husband grew up in Mason and my MIL still lives there. It has grown a lot just in the last 10 years or so, becoming more of a suburb of Cincinnati. Personally, I'm from the south and if I had to live in Ohio, it would be in Mason! LOL! (I visited Canton in January once....TOO COLD!) Near my MIL's house there is a beautiful park, shopping, outlets, and the theme parks, of course. I would check out greatschools.org and neighborhoodscout.com to help you. We are moving this summer to Clarksville, TN which is on the border of KY...and I know for a fact I do not want to live on the KY side because of the schools. Not sure what they are like up near Cinci though. Good luck with your move!

I live in West Chester, which is a suburb right next to Mason. Both are nice- you would do well in Mason, West Chester, Liberty Twp. To my knowledge, Mason's taxes are a little more than ours and they also have a personal income tax. Symmes Twp, Deerfield Twp, Blue Ash- they all have higher taxes and the houses are more expensive (for the same size you would find here). One thing to consider are the schools. Part of the reason that we bought in West Chester (both my husband and I grew up here) was for Lakota schools. Well, they haven't passed a levy in years and the school system is slowly declining. We have decided to pull our kids out and send them to private school. Mason schools aren't there yet, but in my opinion, they are close behind Lakota. The other places I mentioned have better schools- but the taxes are higher.
Stay away from Maineville. They are in the Little Miami school district which is state run, so you might get a good deal on house, but you'll never be able to sell it.
I would also consider looking at South Lebanon. It is booming- real estate and commercial- but I don't know a whole lot about their schools.
I don't know a lot about Springboro- but I would pick my area over anywhere near Dayton in a heartbeat (no offense, Dayton people!). I also don't know anything about Waynesville.
If you want to consider Northern KY, I have a friend that lives in Burlington and it is a nice area. I have no idea what their taxes are though.
If you have any specific questions about Mason or the area, PM me and I'd be happy to help. I really do love where I live and it is a great place to raise a family.

You could try West Chester. I don't know too much about it, but a niece lives there with her family, and they like it.
