thanks for everyone's help!!! I actually am doing one more round with FIRST NAMES only b/c so many people were commenting on the middle name, but I care much more about hte first! We're naming after grandma's so that's where the middles came from...so try to ignore those if you vote in another round.
Thanks so much.....I have til July to decide :)

Juliana is a lovely name and I like Margot. This is going to sound really wierd, but the spelling of "Margot" seems a little stark next to Juliana, but is "sounds" pretty together. I would definitely pick #1- TONS of Madelyn's out there right now. In my son's preschool class he has three (all spelled differently)!

I like Juliana better but to me with the two names together it instantly reminded me of the actress Julianna Marguilies from 'ER'. Not that that is a bad thing
Both are pretty names though
Good Luck

Madelyn-don't like Margot either. Think about the nicknames, for a child, too. What will you actually call her?

There are fifty million Madelyn, Madelein, Madeleine, Maddielynn, Madilin, Madylyn, (you get the picture) girls out there.
Juliana is a beautiful, classic name that fits a baby, a young girl, a teenager, and a woman.

I like Juliana very much. I'm not sure about Margot as the middle name.
I know about 100 Madelyn's, Maddison's, Maddie's under the age of 5 or so. Only a slight exaggeration...
Here's info from the Social Security site about baby name popularity. I find this very helpful and interesting.
I prefer Juliana Margot. Madelyn is just too common IMO.

I like Madelyn BUT there have been at least TWO in my daughter's class for the last couple years. It seems to be getting really common. Personally, I don't like that.

I would need to know your last name to understand how all three names sound together. We did a lot of this when picking names for all three of our kids...to look at the initials...what happens if you shorten the first name (Julia or Maddy) and combine it with the last name.
I have a cousin named Madelyn and love this name.

Which one goes best with your last name? Try them both out in any and every way you can think of. Madelyn Jane Weaver, concertmaster of the orchestra. Juliana Margot Warner, PhD. Juliana Margot West of West and Associates, "Madelyn Jane Witherspoon, don't make me come up there!" See which one finally sings back to you.

I like #2. My almost 2 yr-old daughter's name is Madeline and notion that there are 50 million Madelines out there like people below are saying is really not true. And I live in Chicago like you - my son is in school so we meet a lot of kids. Not that many Madelines. Check out nameberry.com - cute site that specializes in baby names. Madeline (any spelling) is #92 on the girls' names list! And it's not on parents.com top 10 girl names for 2010 either (not sure how far down their list it is). Anyway I think it was a really common name a few years ago, so the influx of Madelines will be quite a bit older than your baby. Plus who cares how many Madelines are out there if you love the name?

I like both first names, really, but I thought Margot was Magot at first glance. That may be something to consider when you daughter is on the playground. However, middle names aren't as known to other kids.

juliana, madelyn sounds nice on a child, but if you go with it why not try the more traditional spelling. be unique with the name you chose not how you spell it.

Madelyn Jane. Say the name over and over plus nicknames, especially with your last name. That's how we nixed the first name we had for DD-- We had Rebecca picked out but we knew it would turn into Becky and with our last name sounded like a stripper with no college degree. ;)
