I have a friend that just moved from San Antonio to the spangdalham (sorry for the misspelling) area only about two months ago and she needs what she describes as a cocktail/evening dress for a event her and her husband must attend this Saturday at Ramstein AFB, she says that her husband is wearing his mess dress, and she also says she needs shoes. I am currently in the states and cannot drive to her and help her out, so I'm calling on all you mamas! Can you please send in all your answers ASAP!
I'm about to get on her about signing up, I've been telling her for two weeks to get signed up to mamasource for help with these things and she says that she has been too busy...

Ok a little more information, she is about a size 14 if I would have to guess and she said she looked at the BX and they did not have anything. I know there are places like the mall area at Real in KMC and what I call downtown Landsthul that have dress shops is there anything like that at spangdalham? Is it a good idea for her to check the BX at Ramstein or Volgelweh? I have never been to Spangdalham...What about the mall in Neunchurchen where the Hooters is? how would she get there from Spangdalham?

That question comes with a question for the answer. It all depends on what size dress she needs and what color she's looking for. There's a real nice dress shop on Einsiedlerhof inside of the same building as the Ballon shop and O2.

Have her check out the next biggest town (sorry not from around Spangdahlem) for a C&A or a Kaufhof Galeria... they should have something there, fairly good priced! If she had more time I would have suggested www.fashionbug.com they deliver within about 2 weeks and are at times dirtcheap! (got a dress there for $70 and people thought I spend over 400!!)

i've got several size 6/8 and 2 size 14/16. Also have shoes in a 7.5 I'm in Ramstein. Also if she has time there are great thirft shops on Ramstin Landstuhl and Vogelwegh and they all carry evening gowns at least they all did have a great selection not long ago. I'm willing to give her th eopen hours/dates

There is also Peek and Cloppenburg. There is a store in K-town. They have lots of dresses to choose from and C&A, and maybe even H&M will have some cocktail dresses. The only problem is that she would have to drive down here.
Is she coming to the Ramstein area before the event? If so there a shop that is 10 minutes from Ramstein 3minutes for Volgeweh (out the back gate) this store sell all kind of dress for Prom to Cocktail dress. The prices are in Euro and the usually carry a nice size range. Location: Leave out the back gate of Ramstein stay on road(priority road) until come to the circle make first right out of circle stay on priority road (it will take you over a small bridge) till you come to the light. At light make a left stay on the road until you see Nick's chicken(on right hand side) make first right after follow road and you will see and alteration shop, party or ballon shop and and eros shop turn into and park. Go into the last door on at the building on the right and make a right until you go into the shop. Hope this is Helpful. Kandi
I go to Deichman's shoe store for any kind of shoe need. They have everything! They're right across from rofu kinderland in Bitburg. Kind of by burger king. For a dress...I would say a trip to one of luxembourg's malls or the walk platz in Trier. H&M has been pretty helpful for me. I'm not sure where the malls are in luxembourg but I know there's two of them that are pretty nice. Good luck!
