I have a jewerler who helped design and make my engagement and wedding rings. He also made a wedding ring for a friend of mine. I love his work! He is located in Preston Center in Dallas. His name is Jim Alphin ###-###-####. Good luck!
The diamond in my wedding set recently fell out. I found the stone, but while it's in for repairs, I also want to redesign it. I need a good, trustworthy jeweler. Can anyone recommend a good jeweler that does custom pieces?

I highly recommend Jeffery Pratt Designs. He is in the Jewlers discrict off of 635 & Midway. ###-###-#### / www.jefferypratt.com - He designed both mine and my husband's wedding bands/rings. I think he apprenticed under his father (I am not 100% sure on that), but at any rate, he has been doing this a long time. 5 years later, I still get compliments on my ring. Good luck!
Hi J. -
I used to work for the AGTA (American Gem Trade Association) which is headquartered here in Dallas and we had a guy who is (or was a member last year, I don't work there anymore to know if he kept up his membership) anyway, he is a great jeweler and designer. His name is Matthew Trent and I would highly recommend him. Here is his contact info - 2508 Maple Avenue Dallas, TX 75201, Studio: 800-292-6842 Hours: Monday - Friday 10-6, Saturday 11-4. And his website is matthewtrent.com
If you go to him, please let me know how that works for you . And Please tell him that K. Gilbert sent you.
Best regards - K. Gilbert

Jared has a very trustworthy jewelry repair department that does really good work. They have a pretty fast turn-around time, too. I use the one on Plano Parkway, just outside Collin Creek Mall.
Willis Fine Jewelry In Rockwall. They are family owned and have been around for years. They have done all my appraisals and my mother lost her stone and they replaced it. A friend of mine bought an antique wedding set from them. I get nervous about jewelry but I trust them.

Hi J.,
Joel at The Jewelry Fix in Downtown McKinney is excellent. He does great work, very trustworthy and reasonably priced. He does a lot of custom work for people. He has been recommended to me by so many people.
The number is ###-###-####. Hope this helps and good luck.
i have been a long time customer of jared the galleria of jewelry and have now worked there for over a year - i work closely with the repair shop and have helped design a few custom pieces - the jewelers i work with are fabulous - they do some amazing work - i work at the one in plano outside of collin creek mall - i highly recommend jared and the repair shop - they can set the stone in store - it won't be sent off to another location - they are all dedicated to their work and take lots of pride in what they do - best of luck!
