Please bear in mind that any and all suggestions (or warnings) from me might be a little out-of-date. I've been staying home with my kids for more than 2 years now. ;) But, I wanted to try to help if I could, so thought I'd still answer your request.
One daycare I would NOT recommend EVER to anyone is Love to Learn (behind West Town Mall). Our son went there for 6 months, and was the biggest factor in my decision to quit my job and stay home with him. It was AWFUL by the time we pulled him out (at 13 months). It was good when we started him there, but we had TONS of issues with LOTS of things over the course of him being there ... I would avoid it!
We looked at Ebeneezer Methodist Church. It is (or was, at least) quite expensive! But, it seemed like a wonderful facility, and we liked it very much when we visited. And, we've heard good things in the past about it.
I have friends that have used Morning Star and Nannies (quite expensive, too), and have heard mixed reviews of both. I'm sure you're going to get varying opinions from parents about daycares. ;) I would definitely make unannounced visits to those you are most interested in ... to get at least a partial "real" look at the centers. Good luck!
Just FYI ... you can view state licensed centers in your area by visiting http://www.state.tn.us/humanserv/childcare/providers-map.htm. It has a lot of information on there that might help you narrow your search before visiting your favorites.
