Hello, everyone! We are in desparate need of someone who can perform some "minor" duties around our house. We are the only house on the block without a brick mailbox, and I can't stand it any longer. Also, one of the swirly vent thingies on the top of our house has stopped swirling (no idea what these things are actually called!!). I climbed on the roof to tighten a screw in it, as my husband is afraid of heights (what a whip!), and that helped it for a little while. But it has again stopped swirling, and I'm afraid it will end up in really high utility costs before too long. PLEASE, can anyone give me the name and contact information for a good, affordable (emphasis on the affordable) handyman or contractor who does fix-it stuff in the arlington/mansfield area? Wow - thanks for everyone's suggestions on good handymen (or handywomen) in the area. We called several about our brick mailbox and turbine issues, and settled on a great one. He was inexpensive, super-polite, and fast. Less than a week later, we have a new brick mailbox and a wind turbine on our roof that actually spins (imagine that)! After living and working in Tyler for 25 years, he recently moved to teh DFW area. So, if anyone needs some work done, let me know, and I'd be happy to forward his informatino on to you.

I have a great handyman that does all jobs from big to small. His name is Ken Webster ###-###-####. He's worked for me and my clients and everyone adores him. Yesterday he fixed my motorized gate, hung a mirror, got up on a ladder to change time on a clock that was 20' high, changed my air filters on my high ceilings, and recaulked 2 bathtubs, and added a safety bar in one my baths for my elderly mom who lives with me. He cleans up after himself, he doesn't smoke, and he's reasonable.

My husband works for a small business owned contractor that builds mailboxes. He does work for my employer and he does beautiful work. He isn't that expensive and I'm sure they can work for you.
