I like Martini Rossi...sparkling & sweet.
okay so we are going to be serving champagne at our wedding reception...so i am wanting to start tasting some to find one that i like but that is not too expensive, as we will prolly need about 40-50 bottles. also i hear that there are some good sparkling white wines out there, but i have never had any...any suggestions on this?

Kind of depends on if you like dry or sweet. I prefer dry, and I like Freixnet in the black bottle. It's usually like $8 or $10 per bottle.
Hi K.!! I have a business selling wine and we have 3 great Cavas. A Cava is a sprkling wine from Spain, and they are so yummy!! Also, one of the Cava's come with personalized labels!! So you can upload your engagement photo, or any photo of your choice (or chose one of our designs) and then add your names and date. Our brides love this, they make great keepsakes, great table decorations, and great sparkling wine all in one pkg. Visit my website www.TasteYourWineAtHome.com and see what you think. If you are really interested I will send you a complimentary bottle to sample.
Cheers!!

My preference for a not too expensive champagne is Chandon. It's quite nice (better than the real champagne I got from a colleague whose family makes champagne in France IMHO!) and typically is under $20. You can sometimes find it on sale at places like World Market. You can also google "inexpensive sparkling wines" and find some recommendations (just note that prices may be inaccurate depending upon the dates). Here's one that gives some nice suggestions:
http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/food/holidays/inexpensive... (Note: if the link gets cut, search "goodhousekeeping" in addition to the above and it will be the first hit). The top choice there seems quite economical at $9 per bottle. Typically, sparkling wines in that price range are not good at all.
I second Janet on the Sparkling Cava from Spain! They are fantastic and the custom labels make for a very festive addition to your reception!
Congratulations on your wedding!

I recommend an Italian Prosecco...so good!
