Hi, M.
I'm not sure which Discount Tire you went to but me and my husband go to the one on 529/Hwy 6. We haven't had any problems.
I hope this helps.

I am looking for an inexpensive place to get some tires, thats also trustworthy! I have been to places in the past that quote one price on the phone & try to charge another when their done with the service. My husbands co-worker went to Discount Tire in Houston, when he got back to work he realized they had changed the wheels! They basically told him, too bad! Although, my wheels are stock & nothing to fuss over, I don't want any other problems. I have tried to go to Wal Mart a couple times, but there's always a 2 plus hour wait! Please help!

I love Discount Tire myself! I've only ever had 1 problem with them and I've been using them for over 10 years- even all over the state as I've moved around. They have a warranty on your tires so that if the tire wears through before the quoted mileage, you get a pro-rated discount on the replacement. This has saved us a lot of money once or twice (on different cars). They also fix your flats for free whether you bought the tires there or not.
The only issue I had was that I had dropped my van off at a location I hadn't been to before and found out they had to order the tires for me because they weren't in stock. No big deal, but I asked them to air one of the tires I could see was OBVIOUSLY low and check the others since I'd have to wait a couple of days before getting the new ones. They just didn't air the tires. No big deal really, but when I called to complain they apologized profusely, and took me in early (before regular hours) the next day so I could get it taken care of before work.
I'm not sure where you live, but the Discount Tire in the 1960/Jones (or is it Perry..?) area is the best! I've lived in this area for most of my life and have gone there with my dad since I was little.
Hi M.,
I had to get new tires recently and was recomended Discount Tires. I was happy with them and they have really good after service too. There is probably a wait as well. They have a little place that you can sit to wait. I have a son with autism so we did not want to wait around either, so my husband took me home to wait.
I was interested in the PPCD pprgram that you have your daughter in. My son goes to Westview but it may not be right for him. He is not showing much improvement. How do you get into a PPCD prgram? Is there kids in you daughter's class with autism too?
Me; Mother of two sons. 5 year old son with autism and one son typical. Moved here one year ago from overseas. Husband works in the city.
M.,
If you are looking for a good place to get tires that are very reasonable try www.tirerack.com The deliver to your door the tires you want and order only catch is taking them somewhere to get put on but this way you save money on the tires you want. This is where we always get our tires from and then just take the car to Wal-Mart and have them put on. Just get there as early in the morning when they open if possible, less wait time this way. Hope this helps.
The Discount Tire thing doesn't sound right. You may not be getting the full story here or maybe it was an isolated incident. My husband & I have been using Discount Tires for over 20 years and have never had a problem. In fact I was pleasantly surprise on several occasions where I thought I was going to have to pay a fee for something and found out it was free. I would highly recommend them to anyone. God bless!
