I've heard Breadwinners brunch is fantastic!
It's been too long since I frequented Dallas hotels for brunch. The last I remember, the Fairmont held quite a spread of legendary fare.
I've heard the Melrose has a great brunch and the Mansion on Turtle Creek. My out of town guests are staying at the Crescent and inquired about brunch there, but I can't see anything in the computer about Sunday brunch and at current brunch prices, I want assurance that it will be great food and an outstanding experience. Anyone up to date on this? I need to make a reservation this week if possible!
Well, the "best laid plans" don't always go the way you expect. We ultimately decided on Breadwinners with a couple of back-up plans incase there was a huge crowd. I really learned much with your help and I really appreciate all the great input!

We use to go to Hotel Intercontinental for brunch on Christmas. It was called the Grand Kempinski many years ago. They have the most amazing spread! I haven't been there for a couple of years but I'm sure they still have it. It's off of the Dallas Tollway north of 635. I also was told Baby Does has a great brunch.
If you are looking for a buffet, I don't know of any. If you want a nice trendy brunch, try Nikita. The food is awesome and they have bottomless mimosa's. Also, you might try Bread Winners which is fairly close to the Crescent. If you have a larger group Bread Winners is the place. Smaller group try Nikita's.
Have fun!
Mattitos on Cedar Springs (just down the street from the Crescent) has a great brunch on Sundays.
Check out Antares - the restaurant at the top of Reunion Tower. The view is awesome, it's a landmark location and the food & service are always great.
I hear the Gospel Brunch at the House of Blues is awesome. You need reservations. They sell out quickly!!! We also recently went to Reunion Tower. Tons of food. I am not a big fan of revolving buildings, but everyone else loved it.
