We had ours done when our first son was a baby. My husband's work offers an attorney as one of the benefits. YOu pay for it of course, but it was like $10 a paycheck or less. We signed up for that one year, used one of the attorney's to draw up our will, power of attorney, living will, and one other document (I can't remember what it was called). Then, at open enrollement the following year, we dropped it there service. I've heard there are programs where you can write your own, but I don't know how good they are or how much they cost. It's good that your doing this! Most people don't realize the ramifications the lack of will can be. I hate to think about needing it, but it could happen at any time to any of us! It gives me a piece of mind to know that my boys will be taken care of who I think is best for them and that their trusts will be controlled by the most responsible person I know of.
