Hello, I am new to the area and looking for friends for myself and my children. Only people I know in the state are my mother who is always busy and my sister who is soon moving to GA...my husband is in iraq and I really need a couple good girlfriends to keep me company. I dont work and have no one to conversate with, other than my four year old, but I cant get a word in edgewise with him. LOL.....Anyhow I would love to meet another stay at home mom who could and would spend a couple days a week chatting. I have a fenced in patio for the kids to play on, and TONS of toys to entertain them, and my kids could really use the social interaction with other children. My children are both boys ages 4 and 2. I just think it would be awesome to meet another mom with as much free time as I have who likes the same things as me and would be willing to have an awesome new friendship...hopefully one that lasts a lifetime. Im so lost here having left all of my friends behind when we moved. I love to do crafts and am a scrapbooking fanatic, love taking photographs and am currently studying photography through one of those at-home programs. I also love to bake and try new recipes, really enjoy shopping. I guess now a days Im so lonely and stressed out with worrying about hubby, that anything that I could do and have someone to do it with would be enjoyable for me. Hi, A.! My name is L. (25 yrs old); I have 2 kids (Emma is 3 1/2 and TJ is 18 months). My husband (27) works for GE Plastics in Mt. Vernon. I stay at home with both kids. Emma will be starting preschool in the fall. We go to CenterPoint Community Church (off of Oak Hill Road). Every month we have a Women's Night Out where we go bowling, eat out, and just hang out! How are you doing? It must be tough... boys and hubby in Iraq. Wow!! Well, we are pretty new to the area as well. We are actually in Mount Vernon. I also have a 4 year old boy and for the first time, am a stay at home mom. Have you ventured out? I also love scrapbooking. As a matter of fact, I will be going to an all day Saturday crop in April.
