Offsite Airport Parking

We're going on vacation soon and I'm trying to figure out the park and fly places. I looked online and they range from $3 - $12 a day. I'm looking at paying for 9 days, so it'll add up quick. Does anyone use these enough to konw anything about them? Any other time I've flown, I've had someone drop me off so I've never had to worry, but this time there's no one convenient, so we're going to suck it up and pay for parking. I've read a few reviews online, but I never know how much I can trust them.

If it makes a difference, there is six of us - three adults and three kids still in car/booster seats, plus a stroller. Our flight is at 10:25 am on a Sat and we're supposed to be back at 10:25pm on a Sun and I'd prefer something on the north side of the airport.

What can I do next?

The Parking Spot is really good. We've used them a few times when we've gone away for a week or more. They have a couple of locations, depending on which airport entrance you are closer to. They do cost a little more than some of the others. You should do a Google search for a Parking Spot coupon.

I have always had good luck with The Parking Spot.

I can only speak of the St Louis airport but the further away you get the cheaper it is but the less shuttles they run. So if you go to the one across from the airport there are shuttles running every two minutes. The one a couple miles away they run every hour.

So pretty much you just have to figure how tight your schedule is.

I would have my husband drop us off at the airport and then go back to the Parking Spot. Nice people and always on time.

I've used Park N Fly and Parking Spot. What I do is go to the airport, park in 1 hr parking, check in my bags and then take the car back to park without lugging all the suitcases. In your case, you could send one adult to go park while the rest of your group goes to the gate. Coming back, you can send one adult to get the car while the others wait for bag retrieval. The only thing is that youu have to build in time for the shuttle bus, which can be quite slow when you're trying to catch a plane.

We used the Parking Spot a couple of times and it worked out just fine.

However, it takes longer to get to/from the terminal, to/from your car, etc so a lot of it is convenience factor.

We park in the covered parking at DFW and Love Field.. It's just easier to get in and out and on the way home. Love Field is around $10/day and we just paid $18 a day at DFW for 4 days.

Another easy part of parking on site is that you never have to stop, just go through the toll tag lanes and it auto bills you.

I used thrifty and was happy with their service. Under 6 a day and good security but this was out of Love Field.

If you google DFW parking, you can find all kinds of coupons (ie - the Parking Spot). The car seats/boosters don't really apply (except for lugging them around, and you can't use a booster on the plane - check it if you can), because the children will be on your laps for the ride to the terminal. There is no time/space to actually lock the seats in place. For that length of time, saving the money is worth it and I don't see why not to trust them. Airport parking is sooo much money!
Have a great trip.

For the longest time we used the remote parking at the airport and paid a certain amount for covered parking but now, we use Global Airport Parking and are pretty happy since it's a lot cheaper than parking at the airport. You go online at this site: http://www.netparkfly.com/dallas_fort_worth_airport_parki..., pay online and you're pretty much set. The only thing is that it is not covered parking. You park at a hotel and and they have a shuttle that takes you the airport. My family are light packers so we don't have a whole lot to carry when we travel. My husband and I both have two pieces of luggage and my daughter, who is 4, has one so it's not too bad. The driver will handle all your luggage for you. When you get back, you do have to call the hotel shuttle service and tell them where to pick you up at the terminal. Our wait was about 20-30 minutes.

We always use the Parking Spot and have been very happy. They always have coupons for 20-25% off. I usually drop my husband and son off at the terminal with the bags and car seat so he can check in while I go park and bring the bus in with the carry on bag.
