I'm on my phone and am having trouble goggling. Would someone be willing to look up a recipe for onion dip. It has mayo ceyanne and 2 other ingredients. Maybe cream cheese and onions. We need to know the ingredients and amounts. And while I'm here does any one have any low cost hot/warm baby shower appetizer options. Meatballs were ruled out. The simpler the better.

2 large yellow onions, cut in half and sliced very thinly
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
Kosher salt
Freshly ground pepper
Cayenne pepper (optional)
4 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
Chives, finely chopped, for garnish (optional)
Are you talking about the onion soup recipe that you use a package of dry onion soup for? You can splash it with pepper or add some of your own goodies. Soup is combined with sour cream, some mayo, perhaps a little cayenne to taste and you can add any other delicious thing you have a mood for. Great with chips and veggies. It is on the back of the onion soup packages. If you are being frugal go with generic or cheap onion soup You can look up those recipes under Lipton soups.
Onion Dip:
-1 sm container of sour cream
-mixed w/1 packet of onion dip
Other recipe idea:
-lil smokies in a small crockpot w/a bottle of bbq sauce. Just warm on low
-lil subs (sm sub breads or Hawaiian rolls), salami slices, sliced cheese &
turkey
-"make your own" nacho bar (tortilla chips, warm liquid cheese, toppings-
diced olives/tomatoes/onions, sour cream, salsa
