I paid a fee to use Smilebox so I could send slideshows to family via the internet. I am having nothing but problems with this program. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I have used Shutterfly.com for several years for storing and sharing pictures. It is free to use, anyone can join, and the photos can be viewed by your recipients in slideshow mode. Even just to view, someone does not have to join, and if you send an album of pictures, they can even save the album as a favorite website! If anyone wants photos, they can send the online request for any picture(s) to a local Target where they are ready in an hour. Target charges .20 a print unless they are running a special, but they will honor competitor's ads for pricing (Walgreens, Osco, CVS...), so you can pay less (I have paid .10 a print, or BOGO free). Excellent quality whether you go to Target or order via Shutterfly. I had one problem years ago with the quality (low light) of the pictures, called it in, and they sent me a whole new set, no charge. You can also make a password protected website for posting to your albums to family and friends. Check it out!

If you're looking to make it easy, maybe for a grandparent, and willing to pay some $, check out www.ceiva.com. It is a digital frame that is hooked up to the internet. I have one for my MIL and she loves it! No more struggling to explain "how to use a computer".

Hi S.,
I use Roxio Photoshow. I did have to pay $40 for the first year (I think). I like it because it has transitions, stickers, bubbles, and music. You can even add your own MP3s and include them in the slideshow. It's easy to share and file size has not been a problem to share online.
I really like Roxio. Hope this helps.

Hi S.,
I too joined smilebox long ago and was extremely disappointed with it, I tried so many different programs that claimed to be a photoshow program and needless to say I could just never find one that did what I was looking for and was easy to use until I found Roxio photoshow and I just LOVE it, I've been using it for about 4 or so years now. I'm not sure how much you are wanting to do with your photoshows but you can just add pics & that's it or you can choose from all kind of backgrounds and themes and it even has a ton of music you can add to your photoshow or you can upload your own music from your music library on your computer or mp3 player, you can add stickers to the photo's or speech bubbles which are always fun, You can make your photshow as short or as long as you like and you can email it to all your friends and family to watch it as soon as your done making it, you can burn it to dvd (as long as you are a premium member u can do that but you can do alot on the free version too) you can play it on a regular tv, you can post it to facebook, myspace and all of those kind of places if you choose to do that. I could literally go on and on about how much you can do with Roxio Photoshow but I think you get my point, LOL the web address is photoshow.com and it tells you all you want to know there and you can even use it for free and never get a membership but depending on what all you want to do then you may want to get a membership like I did so you can burn the photoshows you make on to a dvd. I hope the info I gave was of some help for you... GOOD LUCK !!!!
