Have any Mom's used something like green tea, vitamin B6, or anything else to jump start or regulate your ovulation after coming off of BC a few months ago? My cycle is still all over the place and didn't get a positive ovulation test from the urine kits this month after getting one last month. I purchased a BBT yesterday and am going to start tracking. I see a doctor tomorrow for a prenatal consult. Any questions you would ask? Any tips to help sort this all out naturally? Thanks :)

"Taking charge of your fertility" by Toni W (I can never remember how she spells he last name, there is a website also I think it is tcoyf.com but you might google it. it is very informative.

on another note, I'm at the other end of the female cycle (menopause) and have had trouble with my hormones but one book I was reading suggested taking melatonin at night for sleeping, and they said an added bonus was help in regulating hormones, (which should help you ovulate), which in my case it does seem to be doing a great job of that, my hormones have improved and I have all signs of ovulation as well. (melatonin can give you very vivid dreams the first few nights, so be aware) you can google it to see how it affects trying to get pregnant, but is sure has helped me. Melatonin is one of the hormones that helps regulate the bodies hormone balance, which in turn helps you to ovulate, it is really quite fascinating how it all works together.

and one last thought, I have an app on my iPhone called P Tracker, it is great! it can track you BBT, aprox ovulation and other symptoms of your cycle, I love it for tracking my period. now I know about when I will start each month.

good luck!

Best thing I can tell you is to get a copy of the book Taking Charge Of Your Fertility.
There is loads of info in the book. I have tried a variety of natural methods to increase fertility and have yet to have any luck. Though I do O on my own it is actually getting pregnant that seems to be the issue.
Make sure you are eating healthy and taking your prenatal vitamins. Also depending on the type of BC you were on that can be a factor in your O being off. Stress is another thing that can throw it off. You will see in the book I suggested.

I tried to get pregnant for 18mo with my first baby and I finally went to see a fertility doctor after two different OB's told me that was my next step. I was having periods but I was not ovulating. So all the fertility doctor did was monitor me while on my cycle and when it was time he gave me a shot that triggered ovulation. We did if for 3mo and I got pregnant and had a healthy baby boy...I had absolutely no problem's getting pregnant with baby #2 and #3. The doctor told me that the pregnancy woke my hormones up and everything has worked fine since...

Charting and graphing your temps is a good way to tell if you are or are not ovulating. I am also using vitex a natural herb to help regulate my cycle. As soon as I started the vitex I got positive ovulation tests on day 14, something that had never happened before. So give it a try, its very inexpensive and effective. Good luck.
