I had surgery on April 11th. the incision at my belly button is the only thing left that is uncomfortable. Is it normal for incisions to hurt so bad, this long after having had surgery?? It is not oozy or gross. Just hurts. I dont have ins. So, going to the doc is only for if I think for some reason it is infected. at this point I dont think that is the case.

Thank you...

Belly button incisions take the longest, in my opinion. I think it's because there are more levels of tissue to get through.
Insurance or not, you should be able to see the doctor about this as it's considered a "re-check" from the specific procedure.
I would call and ask about it, for sure.

Best wishes.

I had a c-section 11 months ago, and my incision still hurts sometimes. I think it's normal;-)

i had a hysterectomy in feb and my belly button still feels a little weird. i was told incisions like that take a bit longer to heal.

My belly button hurt for MONTHS after my gallbladder came out. Just give it some more time if it's not hot/smelly/oozing.

i can't remember why you had surgery, but most likely your pants are irritating it (if they ride anywhere near the waist) i had this issue when i had my gallbladder out. i just wore loose fitting pants for about a week and it really helped.

Yes, it's normal to hurt for a couple of months. If they cut through any muscle tissues that has to heal. It just takes a while. Take it easy and be patient. You'll feel normal again soon.

I had my appendix out 3 years ago and I still feel a pain there everyonce in awhile, especially while in the car for a couple hours and sitting upright the whole time.
