I always went twice a week for a pedi/mani but since the budget crunch I have used the ped-egg for 9.99 and it works wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!Just use some good body butter or good cream and put on socks and it will work wonders.

I hope this helps.

Are you sure they are just callouses? I once had something that ;looked almost like dirt on the bottom of my feet. It turned out to be "mosaic warts". They were not painful but had to be treated by a doctor. I did have alot of callous as well which had to be removed before treating the warts. I would get it checked out by your Dr.

I had to laugh when I read this because I'm probably the only one who will respond who absolutely guards my calluses within an inch of my life. I despise wearing shoes and cherish the calluses that have allowed me to run around for most of the summer unshod for most of my life. I walk on rocks, hot pavement, pinecones and sweetgum balls without a twinge.

Weird, huh?

I'm the only one who goes to the pedicurist and begs them NOT to touch the calluses on my feet.

Not much help here. :-)

I use a foot scrub that contains crushed Asian bamboo and jojoba beads, which buff away calluses while moisturizers soften your feet. It keeps my feet soft.

I too have calluses. I get a pedicure every 3 to 4 weeks. I also go to the Dr and let him treat them. He shaves them off and make them feel great. He also recommened pads. Once he put shoe insoles in my shoes and each insole has additional padding where the calluse are. The Dr visit is well worth it.

This might sound stupid, but check with your Dr first to be sure there isn't something else going on. Diabetics can NOT go to nail places. Diabetes plays a role in your feet for discoloration and nail changes. There are other underlying medical conditions that can play a role in your feet changes too.
Be safe first. Then, by all means, try suggestions, pedicures, etc.
I use a foot exfoliator cream and srubby to keep my feet callous free and rough skin to a minimum. I'm a barefoot person, so it's a chore sometimes.
Good luck!

It is going to take some months but here is what you can do Try having a pedicure every 6 weeks or one a month. Wear comfortable shoes and put cream on your feet at least once a day If you wear tight shoes you are making things worse I go to Nail Salon in exit 93 out of I85 that they are great If it is near you let me know and I will give you their phone humber I live in Atlanta by the way

Olay makes a lotion that is intended for feet, knees, and elbows. I think the name of it is Intensive therapy? Something like that. It guarantees to smooth even the toughest, driest skin in 7 days. And it works!! I have problems with my heels - I wear sandals all year long and forget to take care of my feet. My heels crack and are totally ugly... but this stuff turns them soft and smooth.

I have a friend that uses the pedi egg and swears it works. I saw it at Target for $9.99. She has rough dry heals. I have not tried but I am going to.

There are alot of product out there. Some just go and have a pedicure at a spa, but if you want to do it at home you can try some products from avon. This is my website www.youravon.com/mmorgan1811 you can order items and they will be directly shipped to you. There are callus products, a product like the pedi egg, foot soaks, foot mask, etc. My last resort would be to go to a beauty supply store and buy a foot scrapper, it might come with it's own blade. When you use it soak your foot first. I that dosen't work please go see a doctor, it maybe something else. Hope it helps.

I work in a podiatry office. If the callus area has tiny black pin dots in the middle of it, it is not a callus, but a plantar wart. I would recommend either way finding a podiatrist in your area. They are the experts and can get this take care of for you. Good luck.
