Mine enjoyed it, 11 & 13, but not as much as hubby and I did since we understood all the 80's references, lol. It's a typical Adam Sandler movie, although not one of his best.
Just wondering if you seen the movie. What did you think? Good for kids to watch? (7yrs-9yrs)

Check commonsensemedia website, it's so helpful
I read a couple of reviews that said it was a horrible movie. Not inappropriate for kids necessarily, just a really awful movie and painful to sit through. There have been so many great movies released this summer that I would recommend just about anything but this one! My kids are a little older than yours (9 & 11) but they've seen Avengers, Jurassic World, Ant Man, Inside Out, Mission Impossible 5, Minions and I think something else that I can't remember recently. All were quite good!
We'll likely get it from the red box and see it when it's at the lowest cost. If we like it we might get it, if not then we won't have wasted much time and effort on it.
This time the PG-13 rating is accurate. Like any Adam Sandler movie, it's crude humor. It's also not as action-packed as one might think from the trailers. My teenagers were bored.
The kids (11 &12) loved it. I enjoyed it, too- I knew we weren't seeing an Oscar nominated film and I used to play all of the old games. Fun!
I'm kind of liberal when it comes to the movies my kids can see, but I said "no" to this one. I always check with 'common sense media' to see why the movie received the ratings it did. The app gives info on violence/scary stuff, sexy stuff, language, drinking/drugs/smoking, etc. My boys are 5, 7, 10.
My kids 6 & 9 liked it. they laughed out loud at times. hubbie and I love the throwbacks to the 80s. We saw it in a drive in so that helped keep the interest a bit - not sure the little one would have been as interested if he wasn't cuddled in the back of car with his pillow and blankets though.
My kiddos loved it (10 and 13) and now understand when I talk about the games I played when I was little (shessh i feel old haha)
Anyway just depends on the kid. My son was wrecked at Jurrasic world because the raptors died
Many blessings
