I was wondering if anybody could recommend a good playground in the Royal Oak/Ferndale area with equipment for toddlers? Thanks in advance.

What can I do next?

We too live in Berkly. And playing at the park this time of year is our favorite. The 2 parks that we like best are Beverly Park. (West of Southfield Road East on Beverly) or the Farm Park on 12 mile road between Evergreen & Lahser.

Good Luck.

I thinkthe park at lincoln and campbell has smaller equipment.

It is on the northwest corner of the street. It is a pretty big park.

Buy a membership to the zoo.. they have a very nice playarea forlittle kids..

I think a family membership is a bout 60.

Do you know about the ferndale community center?

that has an indoor area as well as an outdoor area.

hey B.,

there is a park in royal oak that is very well laid out and we have played there since my son was a baby. it is called pioneer park. it is on normandy, 13 1/2 mile, west of woodward, behind a neighborhood church. it has two sides to it as well as a big hill for rolling down. one side is geared to the bigger kids and the other is for the toddlers with the baby swings and smaller equipment, which elminiates almost all of the big kid/toddler crossover.

maybe we will see you there. :-)

I live in Oak Park and there is an awsome park, it's behind the Michigan State Police Department on 10 Mile and I want to say Briar Drive. It's a really nice park with a spongy ground instead of dirt or cement. There is ample parking and lots of kids. There is an open field and baseball diamond as well.

We go to the playground at the corner of Alexander and Farnum. There are toddler swings and play equipment. You can park on the street if you have to drive. It is clean and there are usually only a few mothers and kids playing so your little one can see other kids playing but it is not overcrowded.
