So Good Friday to all. I am actually in a relitively amazing mood today dispite the wonders of life!

So I have a question about my brain because we have all been through heartbreak and breaking hearts here. Trav was one of the most serious relationships I have had subtract my engagement to DS's father. While I know it takes time to get over every relationship but this one is leaving me day dreaming about the way I want life to be. Not what I had mind you. I am seriously day dreaming budgets, what I want a house to look like, and yes occasionally Vin Deisle pops up lol jk!

Please tell me I am not crazy! Is it normal to dream about life the way you want it?

What can I do next?

Some people do it more than others, but yes, it's normal. I find that if my brain is on overload or stress has had the better of me, I tend to daydream. It takes us out of our reality for a bit and imagining things better actually causes our body to release feel good hormones. Some women eat chocolate, some daydream, some...well, I don't know what else. I also find that if I am under stress and don't have time to daydream that my night dreams are more frequent and vivid. (as they have been for the last 3 nights!)

Of course we daydream! If we're being perfectly honest, that's why pinterest is so popular.

But, hey - wouldn't it be nice to actually build one of those houses from the "Homebuilders' Floorplan Designs" websites, with a fully-equipped craft room, and childrens' rooms with literary-themed designs, a game room designed to trick the kids into becoming geniuses, a giant library, and a spotless and perfectly organized kitchen....

While writing my own humor blog (which I would of course get paid for!) and making home-cooked meals three times a day and throwing fabulous parties in my whimsical and lushly landscaped backyard (complete with gifts made myself in the aforementioned craft room - which the kids, of course, helped with)?

Yeah.

Of course it's normal! We ALL do it...sometimes, that's what helps me get through the end of the day...and when on long car trips, hubs and I dream about what we'd do w/ a huge lottery win. Where we'd go, who we'd share w/, what we would and would not buy our kids. It's fun and takes the monotony of being broke and depressed! LOL!

Don't get me wrong...I'm happily married (almost 20 yrs) have two healthy and awesome kids, own my home....but we all get in funks and want to think about a change of scenery! Keep daydreaming...just don't let it interfere w/ what you really should be doing! :)

Not only is it normal but it's a good thing to do when we're under stress. It's like taking a mini vacation. Daydreaming only becomes a problem when we let it interfere with doing what has to be done over the long haul.

I try to live in the present. The past is gone and none of us are promised tomorrow.

“Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.” - Gautama Siddharta

“The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.” - Gautama Siddharta

“One day at a time--this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering.”
