I'm just curious to what symptoms & cravings you ladies have had or having while being pregnant. And did they differ from a boy & girl.I'am now 9 weeks with my 4th baby, with this 1 I have had some queasiness hungry all the time but can't eat or drink what I want it tastes awful,i'm in tears over nothing I cried all weekend I cry at sad songs or just watching TV.With my boy I wanted to drink Mt.Dew it took the edge off the vomiting I was sick for an entire 7 months with him but a few sips was wonderful,my girls I cried & ate fruit & veggies craved sweets drank water non stop.I had the usual ice cream cravings with all 3,carried around hard candies & drank water all day.So far no vomiting it feels like it will hit at any time but goes away.Non stop tired with this 1 my girls but not with my boy

i have one of each. My boy I was so very sick I couldn't eat anything. I could tolerate a lemon ice slushy type thing but that's it. I vomited everything. My daughter was different and I just felt bad for the first few months. Then I was starving Marvin! But, meat especially a whole chicken grossed me out. Pasta was my favorite and I had a brains chocolate milkshake every single day after work! Yum!!!

I was sick very little...vomited twice the whole pregnancy...was STARVING all the time...for anything and everything...gained 50 lbs. and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy who is now 16 months! As soon as he was born my appetite right back to normal and I dropped the 50 lbs. within a couple months. :) Congrats on #4...can't imagine 4 kids! :)

With my son I had a food aversion to a food that normally I love...meatloaf. Even saying the word made me dry heave. BUT, while pg with my son, I LOVED eating corny dogs and french fries dipped in tarter sauce. While pg with my daughter, the craving for dirt was sooooooo strong, my mouth would water buckets even thinking about it. The thought of sitting in front of the television eating a big bowl of potting soil sounded so perfect at the time. They checked my iron and everything was normal. Those darn pregnancy hormones throw your body all out of wack!

I've had 3 babies:

Baby #1: I had no cravings until the end when chocolate became my everything!! I was never a big chocolate eater until then. However, I developed an aversion to raw meat. The first time it hit was when I went to brown some hamburger for tacos and that smell when the raw meat first starts cooking almost made me lose my lunch. I also found I couldn't toucn raw chicken breasts, and this aversion has stuck with me. I want to puke handling raw chicken breasts (don't even ask me to man handle a raw turkey for Thanksgiving!).

Baby#2: I craved so much fruit, mostly mango and pineapple. I did find I once again had an aversion to meat, but in sandwhich meat form. To go to subway to get a sandwich was absolutely disgusting to me.

Baby #3: I craved so much sugar, sugar, sugar, it was horrible. I would actually sneak candy it was so bad. I was so glad when this baby was born because that overly powering sugar craving literally went away in a snap.

The only difference between my boys and girls, the girls I had massive morning sickness, they boys you would have never known I was pregnant, at least symptom wise.

I have 3 boys and an currently prego with another child(don't know the sex yet). With my first I always wanted salsa and chips..always. I would eat it for dinner, healthy I know...With my secound I ate salads every day. That was all I wanted. I ate the same salad too. I was never sick with either one of them....With my third all I wanted was Pepsi or cherry Pepsi. It was ridiculous. I was nausous for the first three months and overly exhausted. With this pregnancy I have been so sick to my stomach that I can't eat hardly anything. I am 14 weeks and I do eat just not very much.I also am more thirsty than I remember being with the other three.
As for emotions I have had the same silly emotions all 4 times. I cry over commercal and get choked up over the simplest things.

Lol I had boy/girl twins so I cant tell you if the babies sex had any effect on my cravings, but I couldnt eat enough sour cream & onion lays. I had to have them every day. It was about the only thing that even tasted good to me. And I was lucky I had zero vomiting ( unless I ate too many chips at once)

I only have one son, but during that pregnancy I craved milk. I couldn't get enough of it. I would wake up in the middle of the night and drink a nice cold tall glass. I would have milk with all 3 of my meals and I could easily drink more than one glass at a time. Hey, it does a body good, right?

I also found that I was more open to trying different foods, or foods that I previously thought I didn't like. I did not have any other strong cravings for anything specific besides milk though.

I didn't have morning sickness with my boy OR girl! I was shocked!

Boy - craved sour and sweet things...sour patch kids were my thing!!
Girl - Pepercini's...I would drink the juice and the peppers! I loved vinegar stuff

I had gestational diabetes with both so I was put on a strict diet. To be honest, it was the best thing that could have happened because I was gaining weight VERY fast!

AND they say that girl heartbeats are faster? Well my boy's was fast and the girl was slow. Do not read into that stuff. I wasn't upset that my second was a girl, but I just read all the clues and was prepared for a boy until they told me at 18 weeks otherwise.
