Problems with This Site...

not that specific problem but the pages are loading like they're being dragged through cold molasses today.

No, I visit daily several times. However, when I post a comment, I have to wait for it to load onto the site. Otherwise if you push the post button more than once you get several of the same post and have to edit to delete the extras. I am going to get my winter gear out and wrap up in as it will take that long for most of the posts to show up on the site and it was not like this before the changes. If we could just get rid of our botspammer for good. I, too, would love to make $100 a hour.

Same thing here - exactly. Some days/times are worse. I thought the page was just slow to load with all the advertisements or something. I often have to shut down and open again.

As a reminder to all, if you're having problems with the site, the best way to let us know is to use the "Contact Us" link that's at the bottom of every page. When you do that an email is automatically sent to several people on staff.

Also, the issue is not specific to desktop or mobile - it occurs on any device/computer.

I am having the same problem. I thought maybe it was my computer.

It's not just you! My version of the glitch is that I type and the letters come up very very very slowly or not at all. Answering questions for me was always glitchy here, even before the change to the mobile-device-friendly format, but now it's even worse. In fact just getting this answer written was a chore ....I use MP only on a desktop computer and figure that the new format just favors smartphone software somehow-:?

I haven't experienced that problem yet, I've only posted from my mobile though.

I have that difficulty here, on gmail, when I text. I think it's my spell checker. It even changes a word to another word completely unrelated to the word I typed. I've started looking for changes as I type. A friend suggested I edit my word list. I haven't taken time to figure out how to do this.

When posts and my answers are slow to load, I blame them on high traffic load. A couple of times, I was able to sped up loading by closing my pages from other sites.

I use an android phone excusively when on this site. I suspect I'm more patient than some. It's my age. I've stopped expecting anything close to perception. lol I am glad that the moderators are more involved.

I don't know about that problem, but ever since they switched formats, my screen flashes like a strobe light when on this site. (It's the only webpage I visit that does this.) Has anyone else experienced this before?

I don't like the new format at all. I struggle with some of what's mentioned but also the having to back out of several pages to get back to the list of questions. Sometimes I just give up.
