Pumpkin Smoothie?

My daughter liked a pumpkin smoothie she had from Jamba juice in the fall. I haven't been back as we rarely go, and think it's a seasonal thing. I'd like to try and make one at home, did see some on the Internet but am wondering if any of the Moms here have a tried and true recipe. Any other not so berry smoothies are welcome too.
Thanks!

I love to make mango smoothies as well as green smoothies that taste just like fruit using kiwi and kale as the base. Now I'm wondering about the pumpkin smoothie myself as that is one I've never had.

I drank a TON of smoothies when I was pregnant; I just couldn't get in enough calories through regular meals so smoothies helped. I was amazed at how great canned pumpkin made every single smoothie. It helped the texture, taste, everything. I hope you find the recipe you're looking for!

I like this question. Can we keep this going and share lots of recipes? I've started making smoothies for the children in our childcare -- and for myself of course! Sometimes my 'experiments' turn out great... others not so good.
Yesterday I tried one with strawberries and spinach, and just added a bit of orange juice. I keep a can of frozen orange juice concentrate in my freezer and just scoop out a couple tablespoons of the concentrate into my blender, then add water to make the consistency of the smoothie come out right. I put a good sized handful of spinach in the blender with about a dozen ripe strawberries and the o.j. concentrate. It came out with a 'funky' green color that didn't look all that appetizing so I served it to the kids in plastic straw cups that hid the color. They all liked it and one asked for seconds. I found it quite tasty. Could probably have added a bit of sweetner and made it taste better, but it was healthier without extra sweetner and since the kids drank them up, I figure I didn't need it. When strawberries are more in season, I think they will be sweeter and make it taste better too. BTW .. spinach in the smoothie is important to one of the moms, because her little guy doesn't like to eat meat, and spinach has a lot of protien in it.

mmmm. i'm not even a big pumpkin fan but these are awesome. get some pumpkin puree (i make my own and freeze it in ice cube trays, which is perfect for smoothies. you can also use pumpkin pie filling if you prefer but i like to be in charge of the sugar and spices). if you've got a good blender, freeze it first, but your average blender won't handle too much frozen fruit. for a single smoothie i use about 3 cubes, so put in the equivalent. maybe half a cup? add a frozen banana. pour in some vanilla almond milk, sprinkle in a little cinnamon and cloves and voila! you can also add some sugar or agave if that's not sweet enough, but the vanilla almond milk and banana will probably give you enough. healthy AND delicious!
