I'm 30 weeks right now, working on 31 as of this coming sunday. I'm afraid that my fluid levels are low again, cause my skin feels looser than it did a few days ago. My baby has kicked around and all, but my fluid levels have been down before to a 6 and that was at 28 weeks when I went into preterm labor. They stopped it and refilled the kiddie pool :P. I want to know how other babies have faired having been born so early, and on top of this i have uterus didelphys which means I have 2 uterus. They baby is in the right one. I'm scared that he'll come early, I don't know if I can cope with it, seeing him hooked up to tubes and all. I just want to know how other moms handled the experience and how their baby faired with being born early...

What can I do next?

My step grandson was born 2 pounds 6 oz and the only thing wrong is his eye sight. The oxygen they had to use at that time did something to his eyes. He was my most precious boy. When you hold things up to him,he would reach to the side. He was little and always a warm heart and wanting to help. I was not happy with mom and dad as they lived with me for awhile. He wanted to eat small meals all day and they did not want him too. I think that is wrong. I talked to another mom who her child was the same. I also had a boyfriend years ago who was 1 pound 9 oz and in his 40's. His mom had miscarriage one after another. Just remember that we can do nothing without God. He is the one that grows our children. Keep your chin up and happy baby. He will be fine. God Bless G. W

Hello,

I'm 30. I'm a mom of two preemies. My dauther is four-years-old, she was a 31-weeker baby, and my boy is one-year-old and he was a 29-weeker baby.
When I was pregnant with my daughter I had no sickness, I was feeling ok, one day after work I felt that I was peeing, but I din't want to, so I called the doctor and I went to the hospital. My water was broken. She was my first baby, I had c-section, and she spent 26 days at the NICU. It is hard to see that tiny person going through all that.
When I was pregnant with my boy, my doctor try to do whatever it takes to retain the baby the nine months. I had a lot of sickness and I needed to stay in bed. One day, going shopping my water broke. He spent 27 day in the NICU.
All this is hard, but the love that you feel for those tiny people makes you to do fine.
Don't worry, everything is going to be ok. Please let me know how are you doing later.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

I had my daughter at 24 weeks. I had no prior problems my water was just slowly leaking and I had no idea of it. It finally broke on day when I stayed home from work and had a bit of a cold. She was 24 weeks onld and weighed 1.08pounds at birth. It was scary but you still have the proud mommy sense kick in even though everything isnt normal and very scary. Everyday that you can keep them inside of you does matter so hang in there and hopefully you will make it full term. I also suggest if you can go take a tour of the neonatal unit before hand so you know what to expect. My hubby got to and I had a maternial fever once I got to the hospital so I couldnt. I didnt understand how small 1 pound really was and all the tubes and such and he had a better grasp on what to expect. I wish you the very best!

I was just catching up on my emails I hadn't got to read, till today, which is July 13, 2007. I am so proud of you and I can't wait till Calin is born. I thought seeing this post again would remind you to have faith and that all things are possible. You posted this at 31 weeks and you are now almost 34 weeks. Look how far you have come. You have 6 weeks left at the most. I know you can do it and everything is going to be okay. Lots of love. Your Mom.
