In my opinion no.... my son's placenta detached at 7 1/2 months and I went into this "nesting" mode you sometimes hear about for about 24 hours, then couldn't sleep at night. In the morning my water broke but it was dark blood. I was feeling the same things you are referring to for at least 24 hours prior to being aware that something was wrong - I literally could not stand upright for most of that time period. Also, that night my baby would not stop actively moving all the time. I am not saying anything is wrong with you or your baby, however, it is better to be safe than sorry so go and see your doctor asap (or to an emergency room for safety). BTW, my son and I were both fine in the end, as only part of the placenta detached and was bleeding. We were both blessed.
