My 10 year old son told me last night that he has been having constant headaches for months, which he describes as a heavy, numb feeling over the top of his head. Also that his body feels tired, he doesn't sleep well, and he has recently developed a sort of head-shaking tick, which he says is because his head hurts and feels weird. Needless to say I am very concerned. I have an appointment with his pediatrician tomorrow but I am sure that they will want him to see a neurologist, and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a great one in the Paoli/Philadelphia/Wilmington area. CHOP has a neurological dept in King of Prussia. We have only had good experiences with our CHOP doctors. We haven't seen a neurologist but we have been in the KoP offices for cardiology. They are right across from the mall.
Has your son had his eyes tested? My 10 year old was experiencing a lot of headaches last year and we found out that she had a mild lazy eye and is far sighted.

We go to the Lehigh Valley Ped Neuro but have also bee seen down at CHOP. CHOP has a great group down there and if you are close, i would highly recommend them.
This might be a little far for you, but the Neurologic Group of Bucks and Montgomery County were wonderful. We liked Dr. Jackel and Dr. Skubik.
