Referrals on Good Pediatricians

I second the Pediatric Associates. Both my sons (age 13 and age 9mo) see Dr. Waters. Hubby is the one who takes the kids and really likes his style. He is considerate and patient with my 13 yr old's questions and concerns. I was concerned about the same Dr for both boys since the age difference is so big. He's great with both of them.

I take my 3 kids to Cockerell and McIntosh pediatrics and I love it!Not only do always get my kids in that day if they are sick they also have an urgent care,that's one plus!The doctor's and nurses are great!I left an office when my 12 year old was about 1 1/2,I want my children to get the best care!I've only had a problem with one doctor in that office,McIntosh,I think she just needs to retire.So I think you could pick just about anyone in the office and get good care,I have seen several of them over the years.I personally like Kirby-Diaz.In my opinion there is not another Doctor out there that could replace her!

Are you near Lee's Summit? Lee's Summit Physicians Group is a great group of pediatricians. We've seen most there however Dr Deann Dewitt is my regular pediatrician.
There is also urgent care hours available.

Hi M.,
I take my sons to Cockerell McIntosh in Independence. They also have a clinic in Blue Springs. I can almost always get an appointment because they have the 2 clinics, if I am willing to make the drive to Blue Springs. If not, they have urgent care Monday thru Friday nights and on Saturdays and Sundays too.I have seen more then 1 of the doctors and we really like them all. Good luck.

Lee's Summit Physicians Group is great I have been going there since my daughter was born and she is 6 now. They are located right off of 350 highway on blue parkway. They have urgent care hours everyday. Morning and evening urgent care hours and weekend. The also have a nurse hotline that you can call and ask questions. Village Pediatrics is GREAT!! Dr. Slaymaker is really fantastic. He actually takes time to listen to me and asks questions, etc. I highly recommend him.

We love Dr. Wichman by St. Luke's South in OP.

You may want to consider modifying your request to indicate what area you're interested in, such as north of the river, Overland Park, Independence, etc.

If you are close to Prairie Village, Village Pediatrics is a wonderful practice. Incredible staff, great hours, walk-in clinic every day including Saturday.

I don't know what part of town you live in, but I would recommend Heartland Pediatrics, which is just west of I-435 & Parallel in KCK. Good luck!

Pediatric Associates on the Plaza & in Lee's Summit. They are wonderful and a large practice. I saw a lot of them my daughter's first year, and they are all great. Most important, you can get night & weekend walk-in appts because kids are always sick during those hours, right? Dr. Woody is our pediatrician there, but I have to say that I would be comfortable with any of the docs.

I highly reccomend checking into Professional Pediatrics Association(PPA). They are located at 435 & Quivera in Overland Park and their number is ###-###-####. We see Dr. Heaphy and love him! He has been my ped for about nine years now. The office is great and if I can't get in to see him they always get me in with another doctor in their office. The entire staff is awesome!!!
