hello moms,
does anyone know any tricks to getting out ring around the collar on cotton dress shirts? My husband is a teacher and is required to wear a shirt and tie every day.
We can't afford to always dry clean, and the sprays just aren't working well. Thanks so much!

What can I do next?

Mix 4 tablespoons of baking soda with a 1/4 cup of water. Rub into the collars, then pour a little vinegar on them before washing.

hi
i haven't tried it yet, but i have read that white chalk drawn on the collar, not sure how long to let it sit, and then launder regularly. it is supposed to help get the oils out. good luck!

Since ring around the collar is from a combination of sweat and hair, rubbing shampoo into the collar area before washing seemed to help my husband's shirts. See if that helps!

try stain stick and then oxy clean with it. let it sit in the water for awhile and that should get them out. you may also want to check around the wrist of the shirts as well. this is usu. an area that looks like the collar. do the same thing with this area.
good luck
