We want our son to go as Robin Hood for Halloween. He is a toddler(almost 2) and I can't find a costume. What things do I need to make the costume? I know tights and a bow an arrow but not sure what else.

What can I do next?

Long dark green shirt or sweatshirt for a "tunic"; brown pants of any kind; a brown belt for the tunic (or just get a length of brown fabric. Hat can be made from dark green felt from the craft store, just use fabric glue or stitch it a little to hold the shape (see pictures of Robin Hood for shape). Be sure to put a feather in the cap! Maybe some brown fabric for archers' "leather" wrist guards if you want. My daughter was Robin Hood when she was about six! Be sure any bow and "arrows" are safe -- since he's only two I might do a bow but no arrows, even pretend. Have fun.

He could just wear a long green shirt belted at the waist with a brown belt or piece of fabric tied. And he will need a hat - maybe you could make it out of two sheets of felt? Glue them together in a triangle pointed form, fold up the edges and stick a feather in it?

green sweatshirt, with the band cut off the bottom....& "peplum" the raw edge. Wide belt. & yes, the bow/arrow!

brown sweat pants, again with the bottom banding cut off.

& the hat as Amanda W. said!

a very good choice.
