K.D. asks from Fort Worth, TX

I apologize I just saw that while I was logged in yesterday my niece played around with things on my computer and changed my request. My actual request asked for the best way to sell items fast, (without consignment)?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you to everyone for your advice. I am trying everything and have faith that it will work out. I did find a new website called www.begbarterorbuy.com that is like Craigs List in case anyone else is in my situation. Thank you again!!! :-)

There are still some consignment sales going on. I think Divine Consign is in Arlington in a few weeks, but it will take them a few weeks after that to send you a check.

I think that Once Upon a Child will give you cash, but I'm not 100% sure. It's either them or Kid to Kid. You can call them and ask.

Good luck!

It sounds like you need cash fast, so eBay may not be the thing, but you can try it. You can list for only a few days (I think you can specify the number of days).

But if you have a huge lot of clothes, like more than 20 pieces in the same size, those usually sell well on eBay. You could even do a buy it now price to try to sell right away.

Otherwise, you could do a garage sale next week. But you won't get much. It depends... maybe $10 each for the suits, maybe $15. Garage sales are not the best way to make money on clothes.

Good luck!

Once Upon A Child resale shop gives you money on the spot for childrens clothes, furnature, and assessories. You dont get as much as a consignment shop gives you but you also dont have to wait a month to get the $$. Good luck. I've definitely been in your situation before!!

I always make the most money from my clothes off of garage sales. Can you have one next weekend? Basically you can tell right off the bat who will pay good money for your clothing and who won't. Some people are really insulting. Still others recognize that they are getting quality clothing and are willing to pay more. If someone is willing to buy a lot of items then offer a discount for buying in bulk.

After more than one garage sale, you will get regular "customers." I have a neighbor who always comes by to purchase my clothes for her granddaughter. It is great!

Try craigslist.com. You can post for free and add pictures for free. I bought a ton of great maternity clothes from various people from Craigslist. I like it. I honestly don't know how fast it takes to sell items that way. I think most people re-list the items every few days.
