Great choice! We took our daughter when she was 2 and had a ball. We would have gone this last summer but I was very, very pregnant and uncomfortable. We stayed at the Radison Resort Hill Country and will stay there for all other trips we make to that area. It is very family oriented. It is less than a mile away from Seaworld and has a free shuttle that runs back and forth all day and drops you at the hotel entrance and the Seaworld entrance. This was great because we didnt have to worry about parking and the cost and we were able to go back to the hotel for a nap in the afternoon and for dinner. The hotel also has a kids pool, does Smores for the kids by the outside fire pits, and the thing I liked best about it was that our hallway was full of other families like us. So, I didn't have to worry too much about our daughter running down the hallway on the way back to our room or being a little loud because other kids were doing the same thing. We reserved 2 days for Seaworld, but we did go during the summer and spent almost all of 1 day at the waterpark area. I would also recommed the Childrens Museum in the downtown area by the Riverwalk. It is like the Dallas Children's Museum and has a ton of pretend play areas for the kids. Our daughter had a ball riding on a trolley, being a cowgirl, flying an airplane, playing in the Science area, working as a dentist etc etc. The play areas all have pretend clothes for the kids to wear and really play the part and they have a real airplane cockpit and trolley inside. My husband and I even had fun with it. Sorry I have rambled forever. I hope this helps and have a great trip.
