We go to Covenant in Carrollton. It is nondenominational, incredible worship, pastors, and kids programs and wonderful people. Check it out at covenantchurch.org
We live at 121 and Standridge and are looking for a church with a good children's program. Additionally, I would really like to find a church with a mix of contemporary and traditional worship. For instance, I do not mind the new praise and worship songs I just wish that once and a while they would sing an old hymn or have a offeratory song that related back to my childhood. My husband and I are in our mid 30s and have a 2 year old. I would love to hear from some one who loves their church and meets our needs!

Elevate Life Church in Frisco at Teel & Main. The children's ministry is amazing to say the least. It's a very contemporary church but our pastor loves to mix the old with the new, so we sing hymns as well. Check out the website at http://www.elevatelife.com/. Come visit us!
We live up in Prosper and drive all the way to Carrollton for church! That should tell you right there how much we love Covenant Church. We have three girls (5, 8 and 11) and they all love the services. Come in for a visit or better yet, you can even go online and watch previous services (but they do cut out the worship part). I consider our church a big church but they do have lifeteams where you can get closer connected with.

I like Bent Tree Bible Church. They have an "adult" church and FX the family church. They time it to where you can attend both if wanted. The children's area is wonderful. My son loves it! www.btbf.org
Hope Fellowship on Rolater (between Coit and Preston) is AWESOME! We've been going for about 6 years and absolutely love it. (By the way, before Hope, I did a lot of shopping in the same area.) You can check out more about them at hopefellowship.net. God bless!
We attend Elevate Life Church in Frisco, it's right off Main and Teel. We have been going for the past four years. It's not traditional, but teaches excellence and you will learn a lot! It's leadership based.
First Baptist Church Carrollton is a great church. Every service we mix contemporary worship songs and traditional hymns. We are located at 2400 N. Josey Lane, Carrollton. It would be an easy drive to our church. I have a 20 month old, 4 yo, 7 yo that love the children's ministry events and leaders. Our website is www.fbcc.org
It is not exactly in your area, but Highland Oaks Church at I-635 and Walnut Hill Lane in Dallas fits all your criteria. We have a wonderful young minister with three children under the age of eight, and a great group of young families. The worship is acapella, and a mix of tradiditonal and contemporary. Website is www.hocc.org. Good luck in your search. One of the greatest gifts you can give your child is a strong church family. I did this for my daughter when she was four, and we joined this church. She is now a young thirty-something with her own two-year old.
Would like to invite you to try Christ Community Church on Paige Road in The Colony. In fact, VBS starts this next Sunday evening. Look me up if you stop in....blonde L. and I sit on the left side of auditorium.
I church shopped for awhile and found Good Shepard Episcopal Church at Midway and Northhaven a great fit. Their website is http://www.goodshepherddallas.org/ We are also getting a new priest in July who is supposed to be amazing. Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck!
I would recommend trying Covenant Church in Carrollton. Located on Trinity Mills. covenantchurch.org
