Seeking a Neurologist in Irving, Texas

B.L. asks from Irving, TX

I am making this request for a colleague of mine. She is not a mother but I thought this is the best place to ask. I was wondering if anyone knew a good neurologist in Irving Texas. My colleague is experiencing really bad headaches all the time. She was traveling to Plano, but just the drive was frustrating for her. Traveling during rush hour was the worst and since she is teacher, her time is very limited. If you could help me with finding a doc here in Irving that would be great. I really appreciate your help in this matter.

What can I do next?

Hello!
Until your friend finds a good doctor , she can take 3 fish oil tablets of 1000 mgs 3 times or more daily. This helps tremendously with most headaches. My family has suffered with migranes and this prevents them!
I wish your friend well! Tell her to try this! Fish oil is very healthy! It opens up your blood vessles to get more oxygen in which helps to relieve the headaches!
Blessings to you and yours! SOunds like you are a great friend!
Sincerely,
C. N.

I see Dr. Joseph Casaly in Lewisville.
He's at the Headache Center of North Texas.

I know it's not in Irving, but he's SO good! I've seen several neurologists in the area for headaches, and by far he is the best! He's off main street, so that's not too far from Irving.

Smell Peppermint oil, this takes the stress & headaches away. If you rub a little peppermint oil on the temples, no more headache! Sorry I do not know of any doc's to recommend, our family does everything as natural & organic as possible. Have her check out Bath & Body works, they usually have some really good therapeutic scents! Pillow scents are great!!!

There is an excellent doctor in Southlake---much closer than Plano. My daughter (age 29) is going to him for headaches and seizures and he is really helping her---she had previously gone to another neurologist for two years and never had the results she is having with this doctor. His name is:
Dr. Asher Imam -- Southlake Neurology and Neurophysiology Center---###-###-####---she will really appreciate him.

I've gone to: O'Brien, Cherie, MD Neurologist in Grapevine, near Baylor Grapevine. Here's her address: 1600 West College Street, Suite 410, Grapevine, TX 76051. ###-###-####...which is closer than driving to Plano.

I had really bad headaches/chest pains, etc...and it was all nerves/anxiety issues...other doctors couldn't figure it out, she did.

She is oriental and soft spoken, but she solved my problems and was willing to do brain MRIs and blood tests etc..to thoroughly check my problem.

P.S. - sounds like we are in a similar situation. I'm 29 with a 12 yr old girl/10 yr. old boy (stepkids that I've adopted) and a 4 year old boy. I'd love to talk more.

Hi B.,

T.H. Salmon is an excellent neurologist and extremely nice. He is located in Las Colinas (basically Irving). I think he practices at Baylor Hospital. My mother has seen him for her headaches and he was the ONLY one to help her, after seeing 3 neurologists in Dallas. Good Luck!

Of course she should see a doc, but while she is waiting to get in suggest she add some magnesium to her diet. do a google search and see all the studies on it.
