Is there a Work Force Center near you? They have counselors to help you build a resume, practice interviewing, and have tools to find open positions. If not, there are Career Coaches or Counselors available privately.

Start contacting companies in your area that may have the type of opening you are looking for, and ask if they are hiring or interviewing. If not, ask if you can send in your resume for their file. Then follow up after a few weeks. You could try and do what is called an "informational interview", where instead of looking for a job, you are asking someone to take some time with you so you can ask them questions about their field of work, how things are going, ideas for jobs, etc. Make sure to update your resume and get someone experienced to look it over. Good luck.

Try PPD. They often hire people without much experience.

UW-Madison has career counseling services for adults in the Madison area. It might be a good place to start. You can Google UW career counseling and you should come up with the site.

Since you haven't worked in the US, the easiest place to get a job would be in a lab at a university. This would be a lower level job, but it would give you experience. It would be harder to break into industry without any work experience or connections.
