St. Joseeph's in Richardson is worth a visit. It is on Jupiter and Spring Valley.

I recently moved to North Dallas / Plano area and have been trying to find a Catholic Church I could call home. I grew up going to Catholic church in Kansas and it was the old fashioned kind of church. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

I relocated to North Dallas several years ago and was looking for a traditional Catholic church (like I grew up in). They are hard to find. There are two catholic churches (in the area) that come to mind.
The first is our church - Prince of Peace Catholic Community.
The website is www.popplano.org - this is not a traditional church when it comes to pews and kneelers but is traditional in all other aspects. The church is actually round with the alter in the middle. It took me a little while to get used to it being round but we love this church - we were married there. It is a very big community. They are located a couple of miles east of the tollway on Plano Pkwy (just west of Preston).
The second one is more traditional (has pews and kneelers); it is All Saints Catholic Community in Dallas. Their Website is www.allsaintsdallas.org. I have only been there once so I can't really comment too much on it. You might want to try one of their mass' to see what you think. They are located a couple of miles east of the tollway at Arapaho and Hillcrest (just east of Preston and north of beltline).
Hope this helps.
I did the same and tried a few that were not for me. I have found a wonderful home in All Saints Catholic Church. Not only did I find it a wonderful church I also have my 2 year old daughter in their All Saints Little Saints program. She had been going there since September and hasn't been sick once. Great school.
There are 3 Catholic Churches that I can think of in Plano; St. Mark on Alma and 15th (that is where I go and I love Father Cliff!!); Elizabeth Ann Seton on Spring Creek and Prince of Peace. Also, All Saints which is in N Dallas. Visit www.cathdal.org and click on "Parishes outside of Dallas" to find more.
We go to St Joseph's in Richardson. We love it there! I've also heard good things about St Elizabeth Ann Seton.
Well, I don't know exactly what you consider "old fashioned"...I felt the same way when I moved here. We used to live in the Lower Greenville area & attended Thomas Aquinas--I think it was on Skillman, near Mockingbird. I loved it. To me, that was old fashioned. We've moved to Richardson & we've been attending All Saints, on Arapaho, for about 3 years. It was a little touchy-feely for me at first, but I've grown to like the atmosphere & I think I'm a better Christian for it. They really encourage participation there--not just in Sunday mass, but throughout the week as well. They have lots of opportunities to get involved. We love it.
Prince of Peace in Plano is very nice, but it isn't really old fashioned. My husband is Catholic and we go there sometimes for him. In fact we got married there. If you really want a nice old fashioned small church where everyone knows your name, you may want to consider my church which is St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Farmer's Branch. My husband is a good Catholic and he feels very comfortable there with me. Episcopalians and Catholics are very similar. If you have questions about that, feel free to email me. Just a thought. Good luck, I know it can be hard finding just the right church home. Here are the websites:

I really like the priest's sermons. His name is Father Cliff.
