I live in Gurnee/Libertyville, and I'm new to the area. My husband and I moved here last year and we don't know anyone who can help with watching my baby while we are both at work full time. Is there a list I can get of In-home childcare's in the area, as we can't afford daycares.

What can I do next?

Try www.lakecountyhomedaycare.com it is a list of licensed providers in Lake county. I myself am on the list. I live in Antioch which is probably in the wrong direction. Check it out I know there are tons of providers in your area. Phone numbers are listed for you and you don't have to pay a fee or talk to anyone to get the list, which means you can do it at your convience.

You can also try the YWCA, I know they keep a list of licensed providers.

If all else fails you can call DCFS yourself and get a list of providers. Not all providers advertise or join certain organizations so they are not all listed in one place. DCFS should have a complete list, though I don't know how long it takes to get the list.

I hope this helps!

Good Luck and let me know if you need anything else.

J.

If you go to this website, there should be a number to your local office to call and they will give you a list of in home license and unlicensed providers. Go under FIND CHILDCARE NOW and look for your local office. You may have to pay a little fee, as they ask how much you make. It is a donation to keep teh service going. I found a great prrovider for my daughter through this list. Good Luck!! http://www.inccrra.org/

Hi

My name is M. Falcus. I am the Northern Illinois Area Director for AuPairCare and I live very near to you in Lindenhurst. I saw you are looking for full time childcare and thought you may consider using an au pair.

All of our live-in au pairs are carefully selected and screened. They are young adults from over 40 countries around the world who love children and are eager to experience life in the United States. For about $310 per week, an au pair can provide up to 10 hours per day, 45 hours per week of childcare. They will also do light housekeeping relating to your baby boy such as laundry, picking up toys and cleaning up after meals. You do need to have a private bedroom available for your au pair.

I currently have 13 families hosting au pairs in my region. My role is to provide ongoing support for these families and their au pairs throughout the process.

I also want to let you know of our current promotion. Our application fee is FREE, normally $300, until July 7th. This a great time to search for an au pair as we have a tremendous pool of applicants right now!

I would love to talk with you to discuss your specific childcare needs, tell you more about our program and answer any questions you may have. Please email me at ____@____.com or call me at ###-###-####. I look forward to the opportunity to speak with you soon.

Sincerely,
M. Falcus
