Seeking Excellent Care in West Plano

I am trying to find a great daycare center for my 2 year old and new baby. I looked at Parker Chase. The facility looked older and the kids packed into the rooms. But they seemed loving and caring. I also looked at Primrose Coit and Springcreek. They seemed much more structured and better spaced, but the staff seemed more transient? What is your experience?

Thanks!

So What Happened?

After evaluation of the two centers, I decided to go with Parker Chase. They have been great so far. Although the center is not fancy and new, the staff there are active with low turnover and a great curriculum. My daughter loves circle time and arts/activities that they offer at 2 years old.
I highly recommend it so far.

Hey there, we live at Parker and Tollway. We have sent all of our kids to Christian Life Assembly at Hebron (Park) and just between Marsh and Josey. They are EXCELLENT, loving and the kids are very well prepared for kindergarten when they leave. Debbie Adams is the director ###-###-####. It's clean, organized, they learn to count in spanish and french, learn history, bible stories and music. It's not in your face religion either, very well balanced. If christian is not your interest, check out new places on Communications Parkway (Near Parr Library at Communications and Windhaven)...there is one I don't know the name. There is also one across from Prestonwood Church (the BIG church) that is supposed to be good (on Midway between Park and Plano Parkway). For montessori type on Plano Parkway is Creme De La Creme which is also excellent. We find Christian Life Assy (CLA) very affordable and excellent and caring staff. All of our friends have attended and can tell you great things.
If you have other questions about west plano, email me through the site and I will be happy to oblige! my older kids go to Barksdale Elementary and my little one to CLA.

I'm sure you already have your kids somewhere, but I wanted you to know about Canyon Creek Day School at Coit & Spring Creek. I used to nanny for a family that lived in Willowbend and their 2 1/2 year old daughter went there. It was really great. Very nice and she really learned a LOT. She's now 4 and will be going to Kindergarten next year, and is still there.

If you don't mind travelling a little farther north, I personally recommend Childtime on Coit and Hedgcoxe. There is longevity of staff, small ratios, a warm and inviting atmosphere and small enough to feel like home. It's an important decision when you decide to enroll your child somewhere, so do your research and follow your instincts. If there have been many turnovers in staff, there's usually a problem. Ask to see the latest report on state licensing or food inspection. These things can tell you about complaints and cleanliness. Good luck in your search.

I know that Primrose school of Forest Creek (Coit and Hedgcoxe) is an wonderful school. But I do think that they are currently full in the 2 yr old room. However, you should give them a call and just check and see ###-###-####.

Good luck!
