Seeking Good Referrals for OB GYN

I can't recommend Katherine Hsaio highly enough! She was awesome. She was so tough. My daughter got stuck on the way out (her shoulder) and she was just so great at getting her out.

I am 31 weeks right now, and if I hadn't invested so much time with my current OB/GYN, I would switch to another in her practice. Mine is great too, but Rebecca Dupont with Peninsula Women's Health is amazing. They're located in Burlingame, so I don't know if that is too far from Daly City, but she is worth it. I saw her while my doctor was out of town, and she followed up on my questions with my perinatologist (I am being co-followed) even though I was going to see the perinatologist in a week, and told her I could just talk to her then. She then called me personally with the answers to my questions, did not pass it on to a nurse, and the next time I was in she saw me, said hello and remembered my name after only seeing me once. Besides all of that she is very open to her patient's ideas, questions and concerns, and is happy to explain any reason she has behind any procedures she wants to perform. She is ok with having a doula present, and is happy to let you push in any position that you would like. I am actually hoping that she is on call when I go into labor!

Dr. Laurie Green in San Francisco. She is a Harvard Grad & is fabulous! She delivered a few of my friends children (I am currently 10 weeks along) & they all raved about her.

Dr. Elaine Chien at Women's Care at Sequoia Hospital is incredible (Yelp her to hear more). A good physician is worth the extra drive for me and Sequoia is about 20 mins from Daly City. Good Luck.

I have to second UCSF. Judith Bishop was my midwife there. She is professional, caring and down to earth. The other midwifes and OBs in the practice are also very amazing. Good Luck!!!

I highly recommend the OBGYN practice at UCSF. They have a bunch of doctors and three midwives and you can see just one, or several of them. I had my son there and am about to have my daughter there. I see mostly Judith Bishop, CNM, but have seen a few of the doctors, too. Also, I've never had any trouble getting appointments.

Hi Y.! First of all -- Congrats! Second -- I love my OB-GYN, great guy. He has offices in both Daly City (Seton Medical Ctr) and San Francisco (Valencia St, I believe) and delivers at either Seton or CPMC. Dr Douglas Rittenhouse. ###-###-####
There are 2 other ob's in the Daly City office as well.

Golden Gate OB/GYN. Dr. Donna Wiggins delivered both my babies and I love the care they gave me. All the Dr's in the practice are very good. They are part of California Pacific Medical Center on California St. Good Luck
