I am a hairstylist and have been for 15 yrs. I worked for Toni and Guy for 10 years and 5 as an independent. I recently moved to Austin from California and I am looking for an upscale hair salon in and around North Austin (because I live in Round Rock)to work in. If you have any suggestions they are greatly welcomed and appreciated...thank you.

So What Happened?

Thanks to everyone who sent me their comments. It really helped me get familiar with the area and a salon choice. I will now be working at an amazing salon in Central Austin called Thomas Saverio Salon and Spa.(thomassaverio.com)If you are in search of a new stylist and would like to come in for a free consultation I would love to meet you. 15 years experience in Los Angeles and I promise you will not be dissapointed:)Thanks again

Hi L.,
I don't know if they're hiring, but Salon Ciao Bella at 1009 S. Mays in Round Rock is amazing. Tiffany is the owner I know and she's super nice! They're number is ###-###-####. Their website is www.salonciaobella.net .

Welcome to Round Rock! We moved here 13 years ago and still love it!

Organics off Gattis School Road in Round Rock used to be a TiGi salon until just recently. The owner has changed it to an Aveda salon, but she was TiGi trained I believe. She is a mom herself and a very nice person. Her salon is still relatively new (around 3 years) so she may still have an open chair.

Have you thought about Jackson Ruiz or it's sister salon -- JR Salon on Burnet. I belive the stylists earn a set salary and receive benefits. It is a wonderful salon. If you call JR Salon -- tell Bianca I sent you! Good luck to you! And, let me know where you end up. I am on the hunt for a new stylist.

Breeze Salon & Day Spa in Georgetown is excellent; they are an Aveda salon. Also, Premier Salon inside Sax 5th Ave. is a great salon. Both of these are upscale salons.

If you want to stay independent, try Salons Unique at 35 & Hesters' Crossing. They lease space, but the building is quite nice.

There is a Toni & Guy (which is where I go to) at Lakeline Mall, which is in the Cedar Park/Leander area. It's off of 183 & Lakeline Blvd. There is a very, upscale salon at the Arboretum shopping center called Salon 505. There address is 10000 Research Blvd. They also have a website or you can just google it. Hope this helps!
