Seeking Help in Regards to Sharpie Markers

My son got ahold of one of our Sharpie "permanent" black markers and decided to do artwork on 2 comforters. I am afraid that I already know the answer to this, but does anyone know of anything that may remove it without destroying the comforters. One of them is a blue denim and the other is a beige and red print. I have only tried one thing so far, Goof-off and it did nothing....I would appreciate any advice, thanks.

What can I do next?

You alsom might want to try paste of cream of tartar and water. I know this works on rust and some inks.

I don't know if it will work on fabric or not, however I have used the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers on my walls and woodwork to remove permanant sharpie marker "artwork" from my 2 year old. It took an entire eraser, but well worth the money to get it off. Good Luck!

Hi H., I do know of a product that works. It is under $10. It has numerous uses. My son used a permanent marker on my suede tan chair and also my comforter. This product is great. I sell it. Just let me know if you are interested. Stephanie

One of my friends had a sharpie marker all over her granite countertop and ceramic tile - she used the Mr Clean majic eraser. Not sure if you could get it to work on fabric but it probably wouldn't hurt to try. Also you could see if Hints from Heloise hasa website - she knows how to do it all. Good Luck!

Is there by chance a 1-800 number on the sharpie marker or website for information? I think crayola or someone has one where you can call to get information. The sharpie people may be able to tell you. Good luck.

I've had a little luck using a paste of regular salt & water or baking soda & water. After you rub it on, let it sit and then launder. It may take more than one treatment. Good luck.
