I am the leader of a womens group that get together 3 times a year. We love to take in museums, both indoor and out door museums; and shopping in quaint and different styles. We consist of 5 generations from twenties tthrough seventies. We mentor, have fun and love to be educated in all ethnic, cultural and fun stuff. Shopping is from antiquing to up to date fashion styled. Oh and did I say we love to dine on different ethnic meals. We make a full day of entertainment, dining and shopping and in that order. Any ideas with-in 90 mile radius of Dallas is acceptable. Thanks, A.

Have you tried Fredricksburg? There are like 3 different town around there that are so fun! They have a wonderful theater - Rock Box Theater and great German food. Also there are a lot of "dude ranches" you can stay at or just visit for the day. The shopping is unbeatable and varies from junk to jewels.

Have fun!

Get tickets to see a musical this summer. The Dallas Summer musicals have CATS and STOMP on the schedule this summer and they would be a fun this for all the enjoy. You can book into the Crystal Terrace there at the Music Hall and enjoy their lovely buffet before the show. We have had season tickets for years and it is always a fun evening.

Another fun event would be to go to a Ranger's game. They too have a great restaurant and if you go on the Fourth of July you could have some of the best fireworks I've seen anywhere.

I just thought of something else but it would be farther: go to a Beth Moore taping in Houston. I want to do that one!

Have you been to the indoor/outdoor Nasher Sculpture Center in downtown Dallas? I love that place! So gorgeous. It's near the Dallas Museum of Art -- another beautiful place to explore.

For dining options, there's a nice little Mediterrean restaurant on lower Greenville Ave. (Dallas - south of Mockingbird) called Cafe Izmir. Great food! If the weather's nice, there's an outdoor patio.
