Seeking Info on Where to Buy Baby Bedding and Strollers

Hello-I am the mom of a 2 yr old son and a soon to be arriving daughter. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on a good double stroller. We are in the market to buy and there are so many options I don't know where to start.

Also I am also in the process of furnishing the baby's room and fell head over heels over some Pottery Barn bedding until I learned it is all sold out! I am wondering if anyone is aware of any 'baby boutiques' in the Naperville area that would sell crib bedding, accessories, etc. I wouldn't mind driving to the surrounding suburbs either!

What can I do next?

Beautiful Beginnings in Western Springs has some gorgeous stuff. If money isn't an issue, I'd go there. I've never bought bedding there, but I've wished I could!!

Oh--strollers. They have them too. I'd suggest the brand inglesina. We have a single, and it's fantastic. They are on par with McLearen, but a little more affordable.

For strollers I recommend tinyride.com . That's where we bought our Combi stroller and I have purchased several other items from there as well including our Britax car seat. I find their prices to be the best and shipping is VERY fast and normally free. Right now they also have a sale going on which is rare on that site.

For bedding I am of no use as we purchased ours from Babies R Us, but I have been to Land of Nod and they have super cute stuff. Also, if you know the name of the line that you like from PBK I would search Ebay. I always have great luck on their.

I wish I knew the name; but a girl at work mentioned downtown Naperville has a new baby boutique - I don't know what it is called, or where it is at, but I'm sure if you call the Chamber of Commerce or something like that they maybe able to help you. She said she had been searching for bedding that she had found online but was sold out - and then ended up finding it at this boutique. GOOD LUCK & CONGRATS!

A couple of the posters already gave my suggestions so I will just give them another vote! I love Land Of Nod. They have a few stores in different suburbs and a user-friendly website.

I also had the Combi Twin for my 2 who were 12 mos apart. I can say enough about the features that include how lightweight it is, so easy to fold and folds compactly, it is easy to maneuver/steer with one hand, both seats have full recline, decent storage, etc.

Hi Beth! When my daughter was born I bought all of her bedding from Little Deb N Heir in north Naperville. They have beautiful bedding and they will also custom make bedding for you if you do not like anything in the store. My son and daughter are 2 yrs apart and I went with the Combi side-by-side stroller because it is light-weight (16 lbs. compared to Graco which is 33lbs.) and folds into the size of a single stroller easily. Hope this helps! Good luck!

I love Pottery Barn too, so I feel your disappointment, Sometimes you can get lucky at a Home Goods store, They are great for accessories. Crate and Barrel has a kids shop at Oakbrook mall called The Land Of Nod. Or else there are 2 great websites 1 is called Koo Koo Bear, and the other one is called Posh Tots. If you have never heard of these before, I think you'll like what you see. Not too sure on the strollers though. Good Luck! Girls are so much fun to buy for!
