Hi! I am 6 1/2 months along- and am looking for cute trandy maternity clothes. I don't have the money to spend a lot, especially on clothing that will be worn for a short period of time. Also in search of cute comfy shoes for the summer / I love flip flops, but hear they're not the best to wear plus Im tripping over my own feet these days as it is! Thanks for any help or suggestions. Oh and I am in the Mid Cities area. :o)

What can I do next?

Hi R....I was able to find some great deals on Maternity wear at the Goodwill on Hightower in N. RIchland Hills. Granted being a Goodwill it can be very hit or miss, but it helped me and my wardrobe survive those last few months. Kid to Kid had some good stuff too, but it was a little pricier than Goodwill.

As for shoes, have you tried the Sketchers Bikers- step up? http://www.skechers.com/shoes-and-clothing/styles/casual_... I looked in to them because I noticed that several friends owned several pairs. I have found I am in love with mine. I plan on getting another pair in brown soon. They are comfy like tennis shoes, but a little dressier. They go with shorts, pants or capris. I wish I had these when I was pregnant last summer. Famous footwear, JC penny and Kohls all carry them.

Kid to Kid resale shop also has some maternity clothes for sale. There is one in Arlington off of Cooper. I don't know if there is one up in the mid-cities.

Hi R.. I'm so sorry that I don't know where Mid Cities is. I'm new to Tx! But there will be a consignment sale in Mansfield this weekend at the Word Of Life church on North Hwy 287, just north of 157. Also, I know JBF (just between friends) is having a sale in Denton, so that's on the other side of Ft. Worth, and it will be the first weekend in May. Hope that helps!

Its a ways to go, but Just Between Friends is having one of the last sales of the season in Denton. It's also a great place to pick up kids clothes, toys and anything mommy/baby related. If you can make it up there it's next weekend then Saturday any items that haven't sold at the presales or regular sales and are not marked with a star are 1/2 the tag price.
Details are at www.jbfsale.com

Hey R.,

I'm currently setting up a maternity thrift 'site'. I had the same problem and my sister is now having it. She is 4 months.
I completely understand how this is clothes we need but for a couple of months max. I'll send you pictures of what I got so far (we are just starting to collect). Everything is $2.99. This makes it easy and cheap. Pretty much I'm running around doing the hunt and then posting for my fellow moms that are uber busy. I'm in the midcities area too. Send me your email.

Thanks for posting this! I, too, am in need of maternity clothes, but I don't have a lot to spend. I haven't tried it yet, but you can try looking on www.craigslist.com. I didn't know Kid to Kid sells maternity clotes, so I'll be heading there this weekend!
