I haven't had decent pictures taken of my son in over a year. I am looking for recommendations for a photographer. I have very specific ideas about the shots I want. I also want someone who's sessions are a little longer since I have a feeling it's going to take some time and a lot of patience to get my son to cooperate. I also want to be able the buy a CD of the session and not have to pay an arm and a leg. I am thinking in our home will not work. There's one location shot I would like, but if they're good with photo editing we can work around that. Any recommendations?
Coconut Dolly! She is so high energy and so patient with the kids (kids are her specialty). We had family pictures taken (at a forest preserve) with her last Sept and were amazed at how wonderful they came out.

I second the previous posters suggestion for Emily Hernandez. She is terrific!!! I also had a wonderful experience with Stephanie Stanger at Shutterwinks. Both are unbelievably talented!
We had Emily Hernandez in our home for Christmas pics in November and she was fantastic. We had pics taken of our 6 year old, 6 month old and 2 year niece. She also does location shots. Her pics are great as the focus is on the kids and not on the room. Emily was very patient and the kids felt at ease with her. She has children of her own and I think that shows in her demeanor. I am looking forward to having her back for my youngest daughters 1st Birthday pics. I loved having it at the house since we were able to do several clothing changes. We purchased the cd with full rights cheaper than it would have cost to have the pics done in the studio and I had CVS print the pics I wanted. The session lasted 45 minutes and I was concerned about the time but she is so great that time was not an issue.
