Seeking Recommendations for Pediatric Dentists

We have gone to Dr. Urmi Amin in San Carlos for the past few years. My son started going to the dentist at age 1 just because he inherently has bad tartar build up. She has helped us through that issue and a broken tooth. She has a very good rapport with the kids.

Angelo Orphan, DDS @ 1155 N Capitol Ave, STE 160 in San Jose ###-###-#### is a wonderful peds dentist. His practice caters to children and their fear. Dr. Orphan has been part of the community for as long as I can remember. He was my, most of my childhood friends and even my own children's dentist. As a child I had a fear of dentists as did several of my kids. Dr Orphan is caring and gentle and knows just how to handle the first time visitor. He's also great in explaining to young kids how important tooth care is. Although you live in Menlo Park he is worth the drive and time as he will ensure your children have healthy teeth and gums. I was five when I first visited him as were my kids. However, if you suspect they have other issues, such as over/under bite, they are thumb suckers, small cavities, etc. you should get them in sooner to correct the problems early and to avoid costly treatments later.

My kids have been going to Dr. Vernon Adams for 15 years. I think I first tool them between 2-3 years old. You can call them and see what they recommend.

Sorry for the late reply. I second for Dr. Vernon Adams in Palo Alto. He is excellent, my son LOVES going to him, very friendly, DVDs projected on the ceiling. Expensive though! I think worth it for kids to have a positive experience!
