I'm pregnant with my second child and have great ideas to share the news with my husband (he does an easter scavenger hunt with our daughter so I'm attaching a special clue for him which will bring him to find his "guy" diaper bag with our week by week book). And I have a poem written to read to my mom on mother's day while my whole family is there. I'm drawing a blank on how to tell my circle of friends.when I told them about my first pregnancy I gave them a little bag with candy filled baby bottles that said To Aunt xx. Any ideas?

What can I do next?

There has to be a bakery around you that sells sticky buns, right?
Have them individually packaged with a note to heat for 2 minutes in the oven. BUN IN THE OVEN.
I had a friend do this & it was tooooo cute. (And yummy)

No ideas, really, just a huge compliment to your creativity.

I never seemed to have time to do that type of thing for all subsequent pregnancies....to buys chasing little boys all over.

So kudos to you! You got the creative talents that I sure didn't.

Congrats, too!

Well wait to tell your friends until your husband at least knows haha. I have so many friends and family on FaceBook so we took a picture of our son holding a sign that read "I'm gonna be a big brother Oct. 23, 2010" I swear all of my friends were on that night because I had responses up to my ears.
You sound like a more personal kinda person, so, maybe ask your friends to do you a favor and grab some items for you from the store. On your list of items include all things baby (ie prenatals, diapers, pacifiers and so on). Or you could take a picture of your daughter holding an easter egg that says Soon to be Big Sister and hand them out like they are easter photos for your friends.
You could get some really good ideas from websites like http://www.parents.com and http://www.babycenter.com
Good luck and let us know what you decide to do :)

When we were ready to share the news about one of our pregnancies with family we ordered take out Chinese food and I traded out the fortune cookies with ones that I had ordered online and the fortune shared our news.....it was a lot of fun to watch people figure it out because I was a little cryptic on the fortune.

Going off of DAZ's answer, for mothers-to-be reading this answer you can order custom fortune cookies from KC Fortune Cookie Factory online.

http://www.kcfortunecookiefactory.com/shop-now/consumer/c...

Or they also offer a DIY Fortune Cookie Kit where the fortune cookies are pre-baked. You just print out the message slips on your home computer, and cut them each out to stuff into the cookie.

There are 24 cookies in a kit and each come with a resealable pouches.

I like when they're chocolate dipped and sprinkled. Just don't mix up the cookies once the message is inside!

You have some really cute ideas, but I don't know that you need to go out and buy things, or spend a lot of time on this. When I got pregnant I just told people. My husband knew right away, and we told our parents at dinner, and I told my friends whenever I saw them, or on the phone. People are going to be delighted for you no matter how they find out.
